Abstract:Purpose: This paper presents an SLR aimed at analyzing data on the evolution of studies about Circular Economy and Green Logistics, such as which countries and authors have produced more works, what areas require further attention, and what the challenges, future directions, and trends. Research Approach: Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Findings and Originality: In the current socioeconomic context, companies must offer more than just products at reasonable prices to maintain competitiveness. Sustainability is a highly relevant topic for the development of contemporary society, and issues related to the circular economy and the green supply chain play a crucial role in this scenario. The Circular Economy is based on four fundamental principles: reducing the use of resources, designing out waste and pollution, prolonging the use of products and materials for as long as possible and regenerating natural systems. It aims to enable the optimal use and systematic reuse of industrialized products, both durable and non-durable, from the conception stage of a project to its eventual reuse. This process requires a systemic culture where each factor involved (including industries, society, and governments) is aware of its role and responsibilities for the smooth functioning of the entire supply chain. Green logistics is commonly used to describe logistics based on processes and technologies to save resources and balance economic and ecological impacts. It is inherent condition and an essential mechanism for developing the circular economy. The circular economy model focuses on features that facilitate waste reduction and resource tracking. While the importance of these topics is evident, knowledge gaps can still be identified through systematic literature review (SLR) studies. Research Impact: An SLR is a way to analyse the development of a particular theme in a scientific field, allowing for the identification of contributions, primary data, and areas where gaps exist and can be explored through further research. Practical Impact: Literature reviews serve as the foundation for academic inquiries, and this type of study contributes to advancing the frontiers of knowledge.
