Abstract:The Hadronotus insulare species group of the Indian region is revised with descriptions of 14 new species: Hadronotus altmannae Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. cookeae Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. divergens Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. galdikasae Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. goodallae Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. gowatyae Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. hrdyae Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. irregularis Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. peludo Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. randhra Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. samantara Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. stupa Veenakumari, sp. n. , H. taraka Veenakumari, sp. n. , and H. westeberhardae Veenakumari, sp. n . The seven Oriental species previously known from this species group – H. blaches (Kozlov & Lê, 1992), H. circus (Kozlov & Lê, 1992), H. linshcostei (Masner, 1975), H. strongist (Kozlov & Lê, 1992), H. triatomae (Masner, 1975), H. urinius (Kozlov & Lê, 1992) and H. wintes (Kozlov & Lê, 1992) – are illustrated and those with inadequate descriptions redescribed. Hadronotus circus , H. strongist , H. urinius and H. wintes are recorded for the first time from India.
