Abstract:A 29-year-old female presented at a private practice, voicing concerns of burning mouth, gingival swelling, and halitosis. The initial appointment revealed the presence of severe gingivitis. She recounted a history of experiencing a 2-day fever and neck soreness, alongside a medical background marked by an HIV diagnosis in 2016. This diagnosis had been managed with Zidovudine and Lamivudine. The patient was subsequently referred to a specialized dental service, wherein the diagnosis encompassed severe gingival swelling, desquamative gingivitis, multiple gingival deformities, and malodorous halitosis.
