Abstract:There are six types of 2-dimensional representations in general. For any groups and any monoids, we can construct the moduli of 2-dimensional representations for each type: the moduli of absolutely irreducible representations, representations with Borel mold, representations with semisimple mold, representations with unipotent mold, representations with unipotent mold over F2, and representations with scalar mold. We can also construct them for any associative algebras.

Abstract:Holomorphic representations are lowest weight representations for simple Lie groups of Hermitian type and have been studied extensively. Inspired by the work of Kobayashi on discrete series for indefinite Stiefel manifolds, Gross-Wallach on quaternonic discrete series and their analytic continuation, and Orsted-Wolf on Borel-de Siebenthal discrete series, we define and study Borel-de Siebenthal representations (also called quasi-holomorphic representations) associated with Borel-de Siebenthal root systems for simple Lie groups of non-Hermitian type.

Abstract:This paper develops the fundamentals of modular representation theory for finite monoids, introducing the decomposition matrix and exploring its connection to Brauer characters. We define modular characteristic and explain how the representation theory in nonmodular positive characteristic behaves like the characteristic zero theory by showing that one can lift from nonmodular characteristic $p$ all simple and projective indecomposable modules, as well as a quiver presentation of the basic algebra. As an application of the theory developed, we give a new proof of Glover's theorem that the monoid of $2\times 2$-matrices over $\mathbb F_p$ has infinite representation type over fields of characteristic $p$. We also investigate the relationship between nonsingularity of the Cartan matrix of a monoid algebra in characterstic zero and in positive characteristic. We show that for von Neumann regular monoids the Cartan matrix is always nonsingular and we show that if a monoid has aperiodic left (or right) stabilizers, then nonsingularity in characteristic zero implies nonsingularity in positive characteristic. Florian Eisele has recently shown that the Cartan matrix of a monoid algebra can be nonsingular in characteristic zero and singular in positive characteristic, disproving a conjecture of the author in an earlier version of this paper. A new conjecture is proposed, unifying the cases of regular monoids and monoids with aperiodic stabilizers.

Abstract:The main aim of this study is to characterize representation rings and derived representation rings of a class of finite dimensional Hopf algebras constructed from the Nakayama truncated algebras KZ(n)/J(d) with certain constraints. For the representation ring r(K Z(n)/J(d)), we completely determine its generators and the relations of generators via the method of the Pascal triangle. For the derived representation ring dr(K Z(n) / J(2))( i.e., d = 2), we determine its generators and give the relations of generators. For these two aspects, the polynomial characterizations of the representation ring and the derived representation rings are both given. Representation rings are well-known as Green rings from module categories over Hopf algebras. We have studied Green rings in the context of monoidal categories such that representations of Hopf algebras can be investigated through Green rings of various levels from module categories to derived categories from a unified viewpoint. Firstly, as analogues of representation rings of Hopf algebras, we set up so-called Green rings of monoidal categories, and then we list some such categories including module, complex, homotopy, derived and (derived) shift, categories, and the relationship among their corresponding Green rings.

Abstract:We prove irreducible components of moduli spaces of semistable representations of skewed-gentle algebras, and more generally, clannish algebras, are isomorphic to products of projective spaces. This is achieved by showing irreducible components of varieties of representations of clannish algebras can be viewed as irreducible components of skewed-gentle algebras, which we show are always normal. The main theorem generalizes an analogous result for moduli of representations of special biserial algebras proven by Carroll-Chindris-Kinser-Weyman.

Abstract: We develop a moduli theory of algebraic varieties and pairs of non-negative Kodaira dimension. We define stable minimal models and construct their projective coarse moduli spaces under certain natural conditions. This can be applied to a wide range of moduli problems in algebraic geometry.
On modular representations of inner forms of $\mathrm{GL}_n$ over a local non-archimedean field

Abstract:Let $\mathrm{F}$ be a local non-archimedean field of residue characteristic $p$ and $\overline{\mathbb{F}}_\ell$ an algebraic closure of a finite field of characteristic $\ell \neq p$. We extend the results of Lapid and Mínguez concerning $\square$-irreducible representations of inner forms of $\mathrm{GL}_n(\mathrm{F})$ to representations over $\overline{\mathbb{F}}_\ell$. As applications, we compute the Godement-Jacquet $L$-factor for any smooth irreducible representation over $\overline{\mathbb{F}}_\ell$ and show that the local factors of a representation agree with the ones of its $\mathrm{C}$-parameter defined by Kurinczuk and Matringe. Moreover, we reprove that the classification of irreducible representations via multisegments due to Vignéras and Mínguez-Sécherre is indeed exhaustive without using the classification of Ariki and Mathas of simple modules of Hecke algebras. Finally, we characterize the irreducible constituents of certain parabolically induced representations, as was already done by Zelevinsky over $\mathbb{C}$.

Abstract:Compared with algebraic varieties the local monodromy of Drinfeld modules appears to be hopelessly complex: the image of the wild inertia subgroup under Tate module representations is infinite save for the case of potential good reduction. Nonetheless, we show that Tate modules of Drinfeld modules are ramified in a limited way: the image of a sufficiently deep ramification subgroup is trivial. This leads to a new invariant, the local conductor of a Drinfeld module. We establish an upper bound on the conductor in terms of the volume of the period lattice. As an intermediate step we develop a theory of normed lattices in function field arithmetic including the notion of volume. We relate normed lattices to vector bundles on projective curves. With the aid of Castelnuovo–Mumford regularity this implies a volume bound on norms of lattice generators, and the conductor inequality follows. Last but not least we describe the image of inertia for Drinfeld modules with period lattices of rank . Just as in the theory of local -adic Galois representations this image is commensurable with a commutative unipotent algebraic subgroup. However, in the case of Drinfeld modules such a subgroup can be a product of several copies of .

Abstract:In this paper, we use Galois descent techniques to find suitable representatives of the regular simple representations of the species of type $(2,2)$ over $k_n := k[\varepsilon^{1/n}]$, where $n$ is a positive integer and $k:=\mathbb{C}(\!(\varepsilon)\!)$ is the field of Laurent series over the complexes. These regular representations are essential for the definition of canonical algebras. Our work is inspired by the work done for species of type $(1,4)$ on $k$ in ``A model for the canonical algebras of bimodules type (1, 4) over truncated polynomial rings''. We presents all the regular simple representations on the $n$-crown quiver, and from these, we establish a partial classification of regular simple representations of bimodules type $(2,2)$.

Abstract:Let A be an aggregate with a finite spectroid S and B a bimodule over A. If B is upper triangular, it is shown by Brüstle and Hille that the category mat B of matrices over B is equivalent to the Δ-good module category over a quasi-hereditary algebra which is the opposite of the endomorphism algebra of a projective generator in mat B. In the present paper we provide an explicit construction of indecomposable projectives and injectives in mat B by defining left and right radicals of B. In particular, we obtain a description of the characteristic tilting module over the quasi-hereditary algebra associated with B. Moreover, the Ringel dual of this quasi-hereditary algebra is the opposite of the quasi-hereditary algebra associated with a bimodule over A op.

Abstract:Let $p$ be a prime number, $K$ a finite unramified extension of $\mathbb{Q}_p$ and $\mathbb{F}$ a finite extension of $\mathbb{F}_p$. For $\pi$ an admissible smooth representation of $\operatorname{GL}_2(K)$ over $\mathbb{F}$ satisfying certain multiplicity-one properties, we compute the rank of the associated étale $(\varphi,\mathcal{O}_K^{\times})$-module $D_A(\pi)$ defined by Breuil-Herzig-Hu-Morra-Schraen, extending their results.

Abstract:We study and classify representations of a torsion group $G$ over an idempotent semifield with special attention on the case over the Boolean semifield $\mathbb{B}$. We also study tropical subrepresentations of the Boolean regular representation $\mathbb{B}[G]$ of a finite group $G$. These are equivalent to the matroids on ground set $G$ for which left-multiplication by each element of $G$ is a matroid automorphism. We completely classify the tropical subrepresentations of $\mathbb{B}[G]$ for rank 3. When $G$ is an abelian group, our approach can be seen as a generalization of Golomb rulers. In doing so, we also introduce an interesting class of matroids obtained from equivalence relations on finite sets.

Abstract:We use categorical method and birational geometry to study moduli spaces of quiver representations. From certain "representable" functor, we construct a birational transformation from the moduli space of representations of one quiver to another new quiver with one vertex less. The dimension vector and the stability for the new moduli are determined functorially. We introduce several relative notions of stability to study such a birational transformation. The essential case is proven to be the usual blow-ups. Moreover, we compare the induced ample divisors for the two moduli. We illustrate this theory by various examples.

Abstract:We determine the image of the monodromy map for meromorphic projective structures with poles of orders greater than two. This proves the analogue of a theorem of Gallo-Kapovich-Marden, and answers a question of Allegretti and Bridgeland. Our proof uses coordinates on the moduli space of framed representations arising from the work of Fock and Goncharov.

Modular Representations of Truncated current Lie algebras

Abstract:In this paper we consider the structure and representation theory of truncated current algebras $\mathfrak{g}_m = \mathfrak{g}[t]/(t^{m+1})$ associated to the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ of a standard reductive group over a field of positive characteristic. We classify semisimple and nilpotent elements and describe their associated support varieties. Next, we prove various Morita equivalences for reduced enveloping algebras, including a reduction to nilpotent $p$-characters, analogous to a famous theorem of Friedlander--Parshall. We go on to give precise upper bounds for the dimensions of simple modules for all $p$-characters, and give lower bounds on these dimensions for homogeneous $p$-characters. We then develop the theory of baby Verma modules for homogeneous $p$-characters and, whenever the $p$-character has standard Levi type, we give a full classification of the simple modules. In particular we classify all simple modules with homogeneous $p$-characters for $\mathfrak{g}_m$ when $\mathfrak{g} = \mathfrak{gl}_n$. Finally, we compute the Cartan invariants for the restricted enveloping algebra $U_0(\mathfrak{g}_m)$ and show that they can be described by precise formulae depending on decomposition numbers for $U_0(\mathfrak{g})$.

Abstract:We show that the moduli problem of deformations of nilpotent displays by quasi-isogenies is representable, without using $p$-divisible groups. The main ingredients are Artin's criterion and the theory of truncated displays. This gives in particular a new proof for the representability of Rapoport-Zink spaces.

On Noetherian algebras, Schur functors and Hemmer-Nakano dimensions

Abstract:Important connections in representation theory arise from resolving a finite-dimensional algebra by an endomorphism algebra of a generator-cogenerator with finite global dimension; for instance, Auslander's correspondence, classical Schur--Weyl duality and Soergel's Struktursatz. Here, the module category of the resolution and the module category of the algebra being resolved are linked via an exact functor known as Schur functor. In this paper, we investigate how to measure the quality of the connection between module categories of (projective) Noetherian algebras, $B$, and module categories of endomorphism algebras of generators-relative cogenerators over $B$ which are split quasi-hereditary Noetherian algebras. In particular, we are interested in finding, if it exists, the highest degree $n$ so that the endomorphism algebra of a generator-cogenerator provides an $n$-faithful cover, in the sense of Rouquier, of $B$. The degree $n$ is known as Hemmer-Nakano dimension of the standard modules. We prove that the Hemmer-Nakano dimension of standard modules with respect to a Schur functor from a split highest weight category over a field to the module category of a finite-dimensional algebra $B$ is bounded above by the number of non-isomorphic simple modules of $B$. We establish methods how to reduce computations of Hemmer-Nakano dimensions in the integral setup to computations of Hemmer-Nakano dimensions over finite-dimensional algebras. This theory allows us to derive results for Schur algebras and the BGG category O in the integral setup from the finite-dimensional case using relative dominant dimension. We exhibit several structural properties of deformations of the blocks of the BGG category O establishing an integral version of Soergel's Struktursatz. We show that deformations of the combinatorial Soergel's functor have better homological properties than the classical one.

Simple transitive 2-representations of bimodules over radical square zero Nakayama algebras via localization

Abstract:We study the classification problem of simple transitive 2-representations of the 2-category of finite-dimensional bimodules over a radical square zero Nakayama algebra. This results in a complete classification of simple transitive 2-representations whose apex is a finitary two-sided cell. We define a notion of localization of 2-representations. We construct previously unknown simple transitive 2-representations as localizations of cell 2-representations. Using the universal property of our construction we prove that any simple transitive 2-representation with finitary apex is equivalent to a localization of a cell 2-representation.

Abstract:Important correspondences in representation theory can be regarded as restrictions of the Morita–Tachikawa correspondence. Moreover, this correspondence motivates the study of many classes of algebras like Morita algebras and gendo‐symmetric algebras. Explicitly, the Morita–Tachikawa correspondence describes that endomorphism algebras of generators–cogenerators over finite‐dimensional algebras are exactly the finite‐dimensional algebras with dominant dimension at least two. In this paper, we introduce the concepts of quasi‐generators and quasi‐cogenerators that generalise generators and cogenerators, respectively. Using these new concepts, we present higher versions of the Morita–Tachikawa correspondence that take into account relative dominant dimension with respect to a self‐orthogonal module with arbitrary projective and injective dimensions. These new versions also hold over Noetherian algebras that are finitely generated and projective over a commutative Noetherian ring.

Abstract:First, I will quickly recall some of the basic elements of the minimal model program. Then, I concentrate on the interactions between the minimal model program and some moduli problems. In particular, I explain the construction of moduli spaces of varieties of general type via the minimal model program. Abstract. The Hecke symmetry is a salient feature of Shimura varieties. In the more recent past these symmetries have led to the notion of leaves, a global structure on the reduction of modular varieties of PEL type defined by Oort, and conjecturally for all Shimura varieties with good reduction. The Hecke symmetry also led to the notion of canonical coordinates on leaves, generalizing the classical Serre-Tate coordinates. We will discuss some recent works related to the Hecke symmetry : (1) -adic and p-adic monodromy of leaves, and irreducibility of leaves (joint work with F. Oort). One of the methods for showing that the p-adic monodromy is big is inspired by H. Hida. (2) CM lifting modulo Hecke symmetry (joint work with B. Conrad and F. Oort). Abstract. In this lecture we explain how to attach a p-adic representation to a vector bundle with strongly semistable reduction of degree zero on a p-adic curve. We also discuss higher dimensional generalizations. This is a report on joint work with Annette Werner. Abstract. Since the proof of Iwasawa's main conjecture in the classical case (the- orem of Mazur and Wiles), automorphic forms on GL(2) have played an essential role to understand GL(1)-problems. After the breakthrough by A. Wiles ((1)), there has been a substantial progress in the class field theory for GL2. In this talk, open problems in classical Iwasawa theory are discussed from this perspective, based on Galois deformations.
