Abstract:Literature and film have become more and more intensive under the blessing of information technology. By taking the traditional famous book "Journey to the West" as an example to explore the problem of shaping image symbols under the adaptation of traditional culture to provide reference for the film and television of literature. From the perspective of semiotics, the traditional literary symbols are analyzed from the aspects of character personality, story background and emotional factors, the contrastive analysis of video symbols adapted from film and television, and audience engagement.
