Abstract:Let g be an affine Lie algebra and g^L be its Langlands dual. It is conjectured that g has a positive geometric crystal whose ultra-discretization is isomorphic to the limit of certain coherent family of perfect crystals for g^L. We prove that the ultra-discretization of the positive geometric crystal for g = D_4^3 given by Igarashi and Nakashima is isomorphic to the limit of the coherent family of perfect crystals for g^L= G_2^1 constructed recently by Misra, Mohamad and Okado.

Abstract:A new categorical crystal structure for the quantum affine algebras is presented. We introduce the extended crystal $\widehat{B}_{\mathfrak{g}}(\infty)$ for an arbitrary quantum group, which is the product of infinite copies of the crystal $B(\infty)$. For a complete duality datum in the Hernandez-Leclerc category $\mathcal{C}^0_{\mathfrak{g}}$ of a quantum affine algebra $U_q'(\mathfrak{g})$, we prove that the set of the isomorphism classes of simple modules in $\mathcal{C}^0_{\mathfrak{g}}$ has an extended crystal structure isomorphic to the extended crystal $\widehat{B}_{\mathfrak{g}}(\infty)$. An explicit combinatorial description of the extended crystal $\widehat{B}_{\mathfrak{g}}(\infty)$ for affine type $A_n^{(1)}$ is given in terms of affine highest weights.

Abstract:By modifying an earlier method of the authors (2008), certain affine geometric crystals are realized in affinization of the fundamental representation W ( π 1 ) l W(\varpi _1)_l , and the tropical R maps for the affine geometric crystals are described explicitly. We also define prehomogeneous geometric crystals and show that for a positive geometric crystal, the connectedness of the corresponding ultra-discretized crystal is the sufficient condition for prehomogeneity of the positive geometric crystal. Moreover, the uniqueness of tropical R maps is discussed.
On $C_n^{(1)}$-Geometric Crystal and its Ultradiscretization

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be an affine Lie algebra with index set $I = \{0, 1, 2, \cdots , n\}$ and $\mathfrak{g}^L$ be its Langlands dual. It is conjectured that for each Dynkin node $i \in I \setminus \{0\}$ the affine Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ has a positive geometric crystal whose ultra-discretization is isomorphic to the limit of a certain coherent family of perfect crystals for the Langland dual $\mathfrak{g}^L$. In this paper we construct positive geometric crystals for $\mathcal{V}(C_n^{(1)})$ in the level zero fundamental spin $C_n^{(1)}$- module $W(\varpi_n)$ for $n = 2, 3,4$ and show that its ultra-discretization is isomorphic to the limit $B^{n, \infty}$ of a coherent family $\{B^{n, l}\}_{l \geq 1}$ of perfect crystals for the Langland dual $D_n^{(2)}$ which proves the conjecture in these cases.

Abstract:In this paper we introduce geometric crystals and unipotent crystals which are algebro-geometric analogues of Kashiwara's crystal bases. Given a reductive group G, let I be the set of vertices of the Dynkin diagram of G and T be the maximal torus of G. The structure of a geometric G-crystal on an algebraic variety X consists of a rational morphism \gamma:X-->T and a compatible family e_i:G_m\times X-->X, i\in I of rational actions of the multiplicative group G_m satisfying certain braid-like relations. Such a structure induces a rational action of W on X. Quite surprisingly, many interesting rational actions of the group W come from geometric crystals. Also all the known examples of the action of W which appear in the construction of gamma-functions for the representations of ^LG in the recent work by A. Braverman and D. Kazhdan come from geometric crystals. There are many examples of positive geometric crystals on (G_m)^l, i.e., those geometric crystals for which the actions e_i and the morphism \gamma are given by positive rational expressions. To each positive geometric crystal X we associate a Kashiwara's crystal corresponding to the Langlands dual group ^LG. An emergence of ^LG in the "crystal world" was observed earlier by G. Lusztig. Another application of geometric crystals is a construction of trivialization which is an W-equivariant isomorhism X-->\gamma^{-1}(e) \times T for any geometric SL_n-crystal. Unipotent crystals are geometric analogues of normal Kashiwara crystals. They form a strict monoidal category. To any unipotent crystal built on a variety X we associate a certain gometric crystal.

Abstract:We systematically study relative and absolute ${\Delta}_{\mathrm{dR}}^+$-crystals on the (log-) prismatic site of a smooth (resp.~ semi-stable) formal scheme. Using explicit computation of stratifications, we classify (local) relative crystals by certain nilpotent connections, and classify (local) absolute crystals by certain enhanced connections. By using a $p$-adic Riemann--Hilbert functor and an infinite dimensional Sen theory over the Kummer tower, we globalize the results on absolute crystals and further classify them by certain small (global) $\mathbb{B}_{\mathrm{dR}}^+$-local systems.

Abstract:We explain how following the representation of 3D crystallographic space groups in geometric algebra it is further possible to similarly represent the 162 socalled subperiodic groups of crystallography in geometric algebra. We construct a new compact geometric algebra group representation symbol, which allows to read off the complete set of geometric algebra generators. For clarity we moreover state explicitly what generators are chosen. The group symbols are based on the representation of point groups in geometric algebra by versors (Clifford group, Lipschitz elements).

Abstract:In this paper, we study shells of the $D_4$ lattice with a {slight generalization} of spherical $t$-designs due to Delsarte-Goethals-Seidel, namely, the spherical design of harmonic index $T$ (spherical $T$-design for short) introduced by Delsarte-Seidel. We first observe that{, for any positive integer $m$,} the $2m$-shell of $D_4$ is an antipodal spherical $\{10,4,2\}$-design on the three dimensional sphere. We then prove that the $2$-shell, which is the $D_4$ root system, is a tight $\{10,4,2\}$-design, using the linear programming method. The uniqueness of the $D_4$ root system as an antipodal spherical $\{10,4,2\}$-design with 24 points is shown. We give two applications of the uniqueness: a decomposition of the shells of the $D_4$ lattice in terms of orthogonal transformations of the $D_4$ root system, and the uniqueness of the $D_4$ lattice as an even integral lattice of level 2 in the four dimensional Euclidean space. We also reveal a connection between the harmonic strength of the shells of the $D_4$ lattice and non-vanishing of the Fourier coefficients of a certain newform of level 2. Motivated by this, congruence relations for the Fourier coefficients are discussed.

Abstract:Generalized double affine Hecke algebras (GDAHA) are flat deformations of the group algebras of $2$-dimensional crystallographic groups associated to star-shaped simply laced affine Dynkin diagrams. In this paper, we first construct a functor that sends representations of the $\tilde D_4$-type GDAHA to representations of the $\tilde E_6$-type one for specialised parameters. Then, under no restrictions on the parameters, we construct embeddings of both GDAHAs of type $\tilde D_4$ and $\tilde E_6$ into matrix algebras over quantum cluster $\mathcal{X}$-varieties, thus linking to the theory of higher Teichmüller spaces. For $\tilde E_6$, the two explicit representations we provide over distinct quantum tori are shown to be related by quiver reductions and mutations.

Abstract:The vertices of any (combinatorial) Kashiwara crystal graph carry a natural monoid structure given by identifying words labelling vertices that appear in the same position of isomorphic components of the crystal. Working on a purely combinatorial and monoid-theoretical level, we prove some foundational results for these crystal monoids, including the observation that they have decidable word problem when their weight monoid is a finite rank free abelian group. The problem of constructing finite complete rewriting systems, and biautomatic structures, for crystal monoids is then investigated. In the case of Kashiwara crystals of types $A_n$, $B_n$, $C_n$, $D_n$, and $G_2$ (corresponding to the $q$-analogues of the Lie algebras of these types) these monoids are precisely the generalised plactic monoids investigated in work of Lecouvey. We construct presentations via finite complete rewriting systems for all of these types using a unified proof strategy that depends on Kashiwara's crystal bases and analogies of Young tableaux, and on Lecouvey's presentations for these monoids. As corollaries, we deduce that plactic monoids of these types have finite derivation type and satisfy the homological finiteness properties left and right $\mathrm{FP}_\infty$. These rewriting systems are then applied to show that plactic monoids of these types are biautomatic and thus have word problem soluble in quadratic time.
Polyhedral realizations for crystal bases and Young walls of classical affine types

Abstract:For affine Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ of type $A^{(1)}_{n-1}$, $B^{(1)}_{n-1}$, $C^{(1)}_{n-1}$, $D^{(1)}_{n-1}$, $A^{(2)}_{2n-2}$, $A^{(2)}_{2n-3}$ or $D^{(2)}_{n}$, let $B(\lambda)$ and $B(\infty)$ be the crystal bases of integrable highest weight representation $V(\lambda)$ and negative part $U_q^-(\mathfrak{g})$ of quantum group $U_q(\mathfrak{g})$. We consider the polyhedral realizations of crystal bases, which realize $B(\lambda)$ and $B(\infty)$ as sets of integer points of some polytopes and cones in $\mathbb{R}^{\infty}$. It is a natural problem to find explicit forms of the polytopes and cones. In this paper, we introduce pairs of truncated walls, which are defined as modifications of level $2$-Young walls and describe inequalities defining the polytopes and cones in terms of level $1$-proper Young walls and pairs of truncated walls. As an application, we also give combinatorial descriptions of $\varepsilon_k^*$-functions on $B(\infty)$ in terms of Young walls and truncated walls.

4d Crystal Melting, Toric Calabi-Yau 4-Folds and Brane Brick Models

Abstract:We introduce a class of 4-dimensional crystal melting models that count the BPS bound state of branes on toric Calabi-Yau 4-folds. The crystalline structure is determined by the brane brick model associated to the Calabi-Yau 4-fold under consideration or, equivalently, its dual periodic quiver. The crystals provide a discretized version of the underlying toric geometries. We introduce various techniques to visualize crystals and their melting configurations, including 3-dimensional slicing and Hasse diagrams. We illustrate the construction with the D0-D8 system on $\mathbb{C}^4$. Finally, we outline how our proposal generalizes to arbitrary toric CY 4-folds and general brane configurations.

Abstract:We show a direct equivalence between the category of analytic/completed prismatic $F$-crystals on the absolute prismatic site of a small (unramified at $p$) base ring and the category of relative Wach modules from the theory of $(\varphi, \Gamma)$-modules. The result is obtained by showing that the data of the Galois action on a Wach module is equivalent to the data of a prismatic stratification on the underlying $\varphi$-module.

Abstract:We study the refined and unrefined crystal/BPS partition functions of D6-D2-D0 brane bound states for all toric Calabi-Yau threefolds without compact 4-cycles and some non-toric examples. They can be written as products of (generalized) MacMahon functions. We check our expressions and use them as vacuum characters to study the gluings. We then consider the wall crossings and discuss possible crystal descriptions for different chambers. We also express the partition functions in terms of plethystic exponentials. For C 3 and tripled affine quivers, we find their connections to nilpotent Kac polynomials. Similarly, the partition functions of D4-D2-D0 brane bound states can be obtained by replacing the (generalized) MacMahon functions with the inverse of (generalized) Euler functions.
