Abstract:The spatiality of derivations of quasi *-algebras is investigated by means of representation theory. Moreover, in view of physical applications, the spatiality of the limit of a family of spatial derivations is considered.

Abstract:Quasi *-algebras possessing a sufficient family $\mathcal{M}$ of invariant positive sesquilinear forms carry several topologies related to $\mathcal{M}$ which make every *-representation continuous. This leads to define the class of locally convex quasi GA*-algebras whose main feature consists in the fact that the family of their bounded elements, with respect to the family $\mathcal{M}$, is a dense C*-algebra.

Abstract:Let E = E(0,infinity) be a symmetric function space and E(M,tau) be the noncommutative symmetric space corresponding to E(0,infinity) associated with a von Neumann algebra with a faithful normal semifinite trace. Our main result identifies the class of spaces E for which every derivation delta : A -> E(M, tau) is necessarily inner for each C*-subalgebra A in the class of all semifinite von Neumann algebras M as those with the Levi property.

Abstract:Using Araki–Yamagami's characterization of quasi-equivalence for quasi-free representations of the CCRs, we provide an abstract criterion for the existence of isomorphisms of second quantization local von Neumann algebras induced by Bogolubov transformations in terms of the respective one particle modular operators. We discuss possible applications to the problem of local normality of vacua of Klein-Gordon fields with different masses.

Abstract:This paper deals with $n$ dimensional algebras, over any field, which have only trivial derivation (automorphism). It is shown that the corresponding sets of algebras are not empty and in algebraically closed field case they are dense subsets of the variety of $n$ dimensional algebras with respect to the Zariski topology. An application to the problems of local, $k$-local derivations(automorphisms) of finite dimensional algebras is provided as well.

Abstract:We establish a correspondence between automorphisms and derivations on certain algebras of generalised power series. In particular, we describe a Lie algebra of derivations on a field $k(\!(G)\!)$ of generalised power series, exploiting our knowledge of its group of valuation preserving automorphisms. The correspondence is given by the formal Taylor expansion of the exponential. In order to define the exponential map, we develop an appropriate notion of summability of infinite families in algebras. We show that there is a large class of algebras in which the exponential induces the above correspondence.

Abstract:Several kinds of quotient triangulated categories arising naturally in representations of algebras are studied; their relations with the stable categories of Frobenius exact categories are investigated; the derived categories of Gorenstein algebras are explicitly computed inside the stable categories of the graded module categories of the corresponding trivial extension algebras; new descriptions of the singularity categories of Gorenstein algebras are obtained.

Abstract:We define algebras of quasi-quaternion type, which are symmetric algebras of tame representation type whose stable module category has certain structure similar to that of the algebras of quaternion type introduced by Erdmann. We observe that symmetric tame algebras that are also 2-CY-tilted are of quasi-quaternion type. We present a combinatorial construction of such algebras by introducing the notion of triangulation quivers. The class of algebras that we get contains Erdmann's algebras of quaternion type on the one hand and the Jacobian algebras of the quivers with potentials associated by Labardini to triangulations of closed surfaces with punctures on the other hand, hence it serves as a bridge between modular representation theory of finite groups and cluster algebras.

Abstract:De Finetti theorems tell us that if we expect the likelihood of outcomes to be independent of their order, then these sequences of outcomes could be equivalently generated by drawing an experiment at random from a distribution, and repeating it over and over. In particular, the quantum de Finetti theorem says that exchangeable sequences of quantum states are always represented by distributions over a single state produced over and over. The main result of this paper is that this quantum de Finetti construction has a universal property as a categorical limit. This allows us to pass canonically between categorical treatments of finite dimensional quantum theory and the infinite dimensional. The treatment here is through understanding properties of (co)limits with respect to the contravariant functor which takes a C*-algebra describing a physical system to its convex, compact space of states, and through discussion of the Radon probability monad. We also show that the same categorical analysis also justifies a continuous de Finetti theorem for classical probability.

Abstract:Quasiderivations of the universal enveloping algebra were first introduced by D. Gurevich, P. Pyatov, and P. Saponov in their study of reflection equation algebras; they are linear operators on that satisfy certain algebraic relations, which generalise the usual Leibniz rule. In this note, we show that the iterated action of the operator equal to a linear combination of the quasiderivations on a certain set of generators of the center of (namely on the symmetrised coefficients of the characteristic polynomial) produces commuting elements. The resulting algebra coincides with the quantum Mischenko–Fomenko algebra in , introduced earlier by Tarasov, Rybnikov, Molev, and others.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the concepts of quasi-centroid and quasi-derivation for Zinbiel algebras. Utilizing the classification results of Zinbiel algebras established previously, we describe the quasi-centroids and quasi-derivations of low-dimensional Zinbiel algebras. Additionally, we explore certain properties of quasi-centroids in the context of Zinbiel algebras and employ these properties to classify algebras with so-called small quasi-centroids. This description of quasi-derivations allows us to identify a significant subclass of Zinbiel algebras characterized as quasi-characteristically nilpotent.

Abstract:This paper aims to study graded modules over a graded algebra $\La$ given by a locally finite quiver with homogeneous relations. By constructing a graded Nakayama functor, we discover a novel approach to establish Auslander-Reiten formulas, from which we derive almost split sequences in the category of all graded $\La$-modules. In case $\La$ is locally left (respectively, right) bounded, the category of finitely presented graded modules and that of finitely copresented graded modules both have almost split sequences on the left (respectively, right). We shall also obtain existence theorems for almost split triangles in various derived categories of graded $\La$-modules. In case $\La$ is locally bounded, an indecomposable complex in the bounded derived category of finite dimensional graded modules is the starting (respectively, ending) term of an almost split triangle if and only if it has a finite graded projective reso\-lution (respectively, injective coresolution); and consequently, this bounded derived category has almost split triangles on the right (respectively, left) if and only if every graded simple module is of finite graded projective (respectively, injective) dimension. Finally, we specialize to the existence of almost split sequences and almost split triangles for graded representations of any locally finite quiver.

Derived categories of Quot schemes on smooth curves and tautological bundles

Abstract:We define a categorical action of the shifted quantum loop group of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ on the derived categories of Quot schemes of finite length quotient sheaves on a smooth projective curve. As an application, we obtain a semi-orthogonal decomposition of the derived categories of Quot schemes, of representation theoretic origin. We use this decomposition to calculate the cohomology of interesting tautological vector bundles over the Quot scheme.

Abstract:In this article, we study a commutative Banach algebra structure on the space , where the denotes the trace class operators on . The product of this space is given by the convolutions in quantum harmonic analysis. Towards this goal, we study the closed ideals of this space, and in particular its Gelfand theory. We additionally develop the concept of quantum Segal algebras as an analogue of Segal algebras. We prove that many of the properties of Segal algebras have transfers to quantum Segal algebras. However, it should be noted that in contrast to Segal algebras, quantum Segal algebras are not ideals of the ambient space. We also give examples of different constructions that yield quantum Segal algebras.

Abstract:We prove that every 2-local derivation from the algebra $M_n(\mathcal{A})(n>2)$ into its bimodule $M_n(\mathcal{M})$ is a derivation, where $\mathcal{A}$ is a unital Banach algebra and $\mathcal{M}$ is a unital $\mathcal{A}$-bimodule such that each Jordan derivation from $\mathcal{A}$ into $\mathcal{M}$ is an inner derivation, and that every 2-local derivation on a C*-algebra with a faithful traceable representation is a derivation. We also characterize local and 2-local Lie derivations on some algebras such as von Neumann algebras, nest algebras, Jiang-Su algebra and UHF algebras.
