Abstract:Abstract This work is a development of braids, tensor categories and Yang–Baxter operators. According to Li [Li, F. (1998). Weak Hopf algebras and some new solution of quantum Yang-Baxter equation. J. Algebra 208:72–100; Li, F. (2000). Solutions of Yang-Baxter equation in endomorphism semigroup and quasi-(co)braided almost bialgebras. Comm. Algebra 28(5):2253–2270], it can be seen as a continuation of studying (not necessarily invertible) solutions of the (quantum) Yang–Baxter equation. We firstly introduce the right braid monoids and discuss their properties. Then, we define pre-tensor categories, pre-tensor functors and quasi-braided pre-tensor categories, and investiage their characterizations. Three examples are given from respectively a weak Hopf algebra, a crossed S-set of a Clifford monoid and the (strict) right braid category. Two universalities of the (strict) right braid category are gotten in order to characterize a category of general Yang–Baxter operators and a quasi-braided pre-tensor category. In a pre-tensor category we build a general centre of a pre-tensor category as a generalization of a centre and show that it is a quasi-braided pre-tensor category. At the end, a categorical interpretation of the quantum quasi-double of a weak Hapf algebra is obtained under a certain condition.
Fibonacci Lie algebra revisited

Abstract:We describe old and prove new results on properties of the Fibonacci Lie algebra in a self-contained exposition. First, we study the growth of this algebra in more details. So, we show that the polynomial behaviour of the growth function in not uniform. We establish bounds on the growth of its universal enveloping algebra. We find bounds on nilpotency indices for elements of the Fibonacci restricted Lie algebra. We prove that the Fibonacci Lie algebra is not PI. Our approach is also based on geometric ideas. The Fibonacci Lie algebra is $\mathbb Z^2$-graded and its homogeneous components belong to a strip. We illustrate the results by computing the initial components and show positions of the homogeneous components in the strip. We also discuss properties and conjectures on related associative algebras and (restricted) Poisson algebras. Second, we prove infiniteness results on homology and Euler characteristic of arbitrary finitely generated graded Lie algebras of subexponential growth. In case of the Fibonacci Lie algebra, we find bounds on the homology groups and the Euler characteristic, and determine respective positions on plane. The computation of the initial part of the Euler characteristic of the Fibonacci Lie algebra shows that its behaviour is really chaotic. Finally, we formulate results and conjectures on homology groups and infinite presentation.

Abstract:Fibonacci anyons provide the simplest possible model of non-Abelian fusion rules: [1] x [1] = [0] + [1]. We propose a conformal field theory construction of topological quantum registers based on Fibonacci anyons realized as quasiparticle excitations in the Z_3 parafermion fractional quantum Hall state. To this end, the results of Ardonne and Schoutens for the correlation function of n = 4 Fibonacci fields are extended to the case of arbitrary n (and 3 r electrons). Special attention is paid to the braiding properties of the obtained correlators. We explain in details the construction of a monodromy representation of the Artin braid group acting on n-point conformal blocks of Fibonacci anyons. For low n (up to n = 8), the matrices of braid group generators are displayed explicitly. A simple recursion formula makes it possible to extend without efforts the construction to any n. Finally, we construct N qubit computational spaces in terms of conformal blocks of 2N + 2 Fibonacci anyons.

Abstract:It is a classical result in representation theory that the braid group $\mathscr{B}_\mathfrak{g}$ of a simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ acts on any integrable representation of $\mathfrak{g}$ via triple products of exponentials in its Chevalley generators. In this article, we show that a modification of this construction induces an action of $\mathscr{B}_\mathfrak{g}$ on the commutative subalgebra $Y_\hbar^0(\mathfrak{g})\subset Y_\hbar(\mathfrak{g})$ of the Yangian by Hopf algebra automorphisms, which gives rise to a representation of the Hecke algebra of type $\mathfrak{g}$ on a flat deformation of the Cartan subalgebra $\mathfrak{h}[t]\subset \mathfrak{g}[t]$. By dualizing, we recover a representation of $\mathscr{B}_\mathfrak{g}$ constructed in the works of Y. Tan and V. Chari, which was used to obtain sufficient conditions for the cyclicity of any tensor product of irreducible representations of $Y_\hbar(\mathfrak{g})$ and the quantum loop algebra $U_q(L\mathfrak{g})$. We apply this dual action to prove that the cyclicity conditions from the work of Tan are identical to those obtained in the recent work of the third author and S. Gautam. Finally, we study the $U_q(L\mathfrak{g})$-counterpart of the braid group action on $Y_\hbar^0(\mathfrak{g})$, which arises from Lusztig's braid group operators and recovers the aforementioned $\mathscr{B}_\mathfrak{g}$-action defined by Chari.

Abstract:The Fibonacci topological order is the prime candidate for the realization of universal topological quantum computation. We devise minimal quantum circuits to demonstrate the non-Abelian nature of the doubled Fibonacci topological order, as realized in the Levin-Wen string net model. Our circuits effectively initialize the ground state, create excitations, twist and braid them, all in the smallest lattices possible. We further design methods to determine the fusion amplitudes and braiding phases of multiple excitations by carrying out a single qubit measurement. We show that the fusion channels of the doubled Fibonacci model can be detected using only three qubits, twisting phases can be measured using five, and braiding can be demonstrated using nine qubits. These designs provide the simplest possible settings for demonstrating the properties of Fibonacci anyons and can be used as realistic blueprints for implementation on many modern quantum architectures.

Abstract:The Fibonacci topological order is the simplest platform for a universal topological quantum computer, consisting of a single type of non-Abelian anyon, $\tau$, with fusion rule $\tau\times\tau=1+\tau$. While it has been proposed that the anyon spectrum of the $\nu=12/5$ fractional quantum Hall state includes a Fibonacci sector, a dynamical picture of how a pure Fibonacci state may emerge in a quantum Hall system has been lacking. Here we use recently proposed non-Abelian dualities to construct a Fibonacci state of bosons at filling $\nu=2$ starting from a trilayer of integer quantum Hall states. Our parent theory consists of bosonic "composite vortices" coupled to fluctuating $U(2)$ gauge fields, which is related to the standard theory of Laughlin quasiparticles by duality. The Fibonacci state is obtained by clustering the composite vortices between the layers, along with flux attachment, a procedure reminiscent of the clustering picture of the Read-Rezayi states. We further use this framework to motivate a wave function for the Fibonacci fractional quantum Hall state.

Abstract:We study the electronic properties of the generalized Fibonacci lattices generated by the inflation rule (A, B) --> (AB(n), A) with n > 1. A unified real-space renormalization-group scheme is presented for calculating the exact local Green's function at any given site. Analysis suggests that there are extended states in these lattices. Furthermore, the appearance of the extended states and the smoothness of the local density of states depends on the system parameters, implying that these exists a state transition phenomenon similar to that of the incommensurate Harper's model.
Integrable Feynman Graphs and Yangian Symmetry on the Loom

Abstract:We extend the powerful property of Yangian invariance to a new large class of conformally invariant Feynman integrals. Our results apply to planar Feynman diagrams in any spacetime dimension dual to an arbitrary network of intersecting straight lines on a plane (Baxter lattice), with propagator powers determined by the geometry. We formulate Yangian symmetry in terms of a chain of Lax operators acting on the fixed coordinates around the graph, and we also extend this construction to the case of infinite-dimensional auxiliary space. Yangian invariance leads to new differential and integral equations for individual, highly nontrivial, Feynman graphs, and we present them explicitly for several examples. The graphs we consider determine correlators in the recently proposed loom fishnet CFTs. We also describe a generalization to the case with interaction vertices inside open faces of the diagram. Our construction unifies and greatly extends the known special cases of Yangian invariance to likely the most general family of integrable scalar planar graphs.

Abstract:We consider the Fibonacci Hamiltonian, the central model in the study of electronic properties of one-dimensional quasicrystals, and provide a detailed description of its spectrum and spectral characteristics (namely, the optimal Hölder exponent of the integrated density of states, the dimension of the density of states measure, the dimension of the spectrum, and the upper transport exponent) for all values of the coupling constant (in contrast to all previous quantitative results, which could be established only in the regime of small or large coupling). In particular, we show that the spectrum of this operator is a dynamically defined Cantor set and that the density of states measure is exact-dimensional; this implies that all standard fractal dimensions coincide in each case. We show that all the gaps of the spectrum allowed by the gap labeling theorem are open for all values of the coupling constant. Also, we establish strict inequalities between the four spectral characteristics in question, and provide the exact large coupling asymptotics of the dimension of the density of states measure (for the other three quantities, the large coupling asymptotics were known before). A crucial ingredient of the paper is the relation between spectral properties of the Fibonacci Hamiltonian and dynamical properties of the Fibonacci trace map (such as dimensional characteristics of the non-wandering hyperbolic set and its measure of maximal entropy as well as other equilibrium measures, topological entropy, multipliers of periodic orbits). We establish exact identities relating the spectral and dynamical quantities, and show the connection between the spectral quantities and the thermodynamic pressure function.

Abstract:A bstract We derive a structure of Z[ t, t − 1 ]-module bundle from a family of Yang-Yang functions. For the fundamental representation of the complex simple Lie algebra of classical type, we give explicit wall-crossing formula and prove that the monodromy representation of the Z[ t, t − 1 ]-module bundle is equivalent to the braid group representation induced by the universal R-matrices of U h ( g ). We show that two transformations induced on the fiber by the symmetry breaking deformation and respectively the rotation of two complex parameters commute with each other.

Abstract:We prove that the quotients of the group algebra of the braid group introduced by L. Funar in Comm. Math. Phys., 1995, collapses in characteristic distinct from 2. In characteristic 2 we define several quotients of it, which are connected to the classical Hecke and Birman-Wenzl-Murakami quotients, but which admit in addition a symmetry of order 3. We also establish conditions on the possible Markov traces factorizing through it.

Abstract:By studying NIM-representations we show that the Fibonacci category and its tensor powers are completely anisotropic; that is, they do not have any non-trivial separable commutative ribbon algebras. As an application we deduce that a chiral algebra with the representation category equivalent to a product of Fibonacci categories is maximal; that is, it is not a proper subalgebra of another chiral algebra. In particular the chiral algebras of the Yang–Lee model, the WZW models of G2 and F4 at level 1, as well as their tensor powers, are maximal.

Combinatorial Interpretations of $q$-Fibonacci Numbers and Their Binomial Analogues

Abstract:The Fibonomial coefficients are well-known analogues of the classical binomial coefficients. In 2009, Sagan and Savage introduced a combinatorial interpretation for these coefficients, based on tiling a rectangular grid. More recently, Bergeron extended this work by providing a similar interpretation for the q-Fibonomial coefficients, using weighted tilings of a rectangular grid. Inspired by Bennett's model, Bergeron also developed a staircase tiling model for the q-Fibonomial coefficients. While Bergeron's proofs for the rectangular grid model relied on induction, and the staircase model on bijective correspondences with the rectangular grid model, these approaches lacked deeper structural insights. In this paper, we propose a novel model for the q-Fibonacci numbers that generalizes Bergeron's approach. This new model not only enables us to prove several identities related to q-Fibonacci numbers but also provides a non-bijective proof for the staircase model of the q-Fibonomial coefficients, offering greater structural clarity. Additionally, we demonstrate new identities involving the q-Fibonomial coefficients using this refined rectangular grid model, further enhancing the combinatorial understanding of these mathematical objects.

Abstract:To provide tools, especially L-operators, for use in studies of rational Yang–Baxter algebras and quantum integrable models when the Lie algebras so (N)(b n , d n ) or sp (2n)(c n ) are the invariance algebras of their R matrices, this paper develops a presentation of these Lie algebras convenient for the context, and derives many properties of the matrices of their defining representations and of the ad-invariant tensors that enter their multiplication laws. Metaplectic-type representations of sp (2n) and so (N) on bosonic and on fermionic Fock spaces respectively are constructed. Concise general expressions (see (5.2) and (5.5) below) for their L-operators are obtained, and used to derive simple formulas for the T operators of the rational RTT algebra of the associated integral systems, thereby enabling their efficient treatment by means of the algebraic Bethe ansatz.

Abstract:Non-Abelian topological orders offer an intriguing path towards fault-tolerant quantum computation, where information can be encoded and manipulated in a topologically protected manner immune to arbitrary local noises and perturbations. However, realizing non-Abelian topologically ordered states is notoriously challenging in both condensed matter and programmable quantum systems, and it was not until recently that signatures of non-Abelian statistics were observed through digital quantum simulation approaches. Despite these exciting progresses, none of them has demonstrated the appropriate type of topological orders and associated non-Abelian anyons whose braidings alone support universal quantum computation. Here, we report the realization of non-Abelian topologically ordered states of the Fibonacci string-net model and demonstrate braidings of Fibonacci anyons featuring universal computational power, with a superconducting quantum processor. We exploit efficient quantum circuits to prepare the desired states and verify their nontrivial topological nature by measuring the topological entanglement entropy. In addition, we create two pairs of Fibonacci anyons and demonstrate their fusion rule and non-Abelian braiding statistics by applying unitary gates on the underlying physical qubits. Our results establish a versatile digital approach to exploring exotic non-Abelian topological states and their associated braiding statistics with current noisy intermediate-scale quantum processors.
