Abstract:$\mathcal{H}\Phi$ [$aitch$-$phi$] is an open-source software package of numerically exact and stochastic calculations for a wide range of quantum many-body systems. In this paper, we present the newly added functions and the implemented methods in vers. 2 and 3. In ver. 2, we implement spectrum calculations by the shifted Krylov method, and low-energy excited state calculations by the locally optimal blocking preconditioned conjugate gradient (LOBPCG) method. In ver. 3, we implement the full diagonalization method using ScaLAPACK and GPGPU computing via MAGMA. We also implement a real-time evolution method and the canonical thermal pure quantum (cTPQ) state method for finite-temperature calculations. The Wannier90 format for specifying the Hamiltonians is also implemented. Using the Wannier90 format, it is possible to perform the calculations for the $ab$ $initio$ low-energy effective Hamiltonians of solids obtained by the open-source software RESPACK. We also update Standard mode $\unicode{x2014}$simplified input format in $\mathcal{H}\Phi$$\unicode{x2014}$ to use these functions and methods. We explain the basics of the implemented methods and how to use them.

Abstract:The program presented in this paper aims to simplify formulas involving products of a large amount of Wigner 3 j -symbols summed over various magnetic quantum numbers. The algorithm used in our program is based on the graphical techniques originally developed by Yutsis, Levinson, and Vanagas, and later revised by some others. The output of our program is expressed as a weighted sum of products of 3 j -, 6 j - and 9 j -symbols, with appropriate phase factors embedded. Compared with the previous literature, the present program is more flexible in a sense that it can deal with not only closed diagrams, such as the angular momentum recoupling coefficients, but also open diagrams. Our program is particularly useful to high precision atomic and molecular structure calculations using correlated electron–electron coordinates. It is desirable to simplify these expressions to make the final results compact, which is the goal of this paper. Solution method: The program uses the graphical techniques of quantum mechanical angular momentum theory, originally developed by Yutsis, Levinson, and Vanagas, and later modified by Brink and Satchler. The program is implemented in Python language, with its package “Networkx” extensively used. A friendly graphical input and output interface is developed. The input can be either a recoupling coefficient or an arbitrary expression containing products of the 3 j -symbols summed over various magnetic quantum numbers. A strategically designed optimization method is also developed to help achieve our goal. Our program has significantly expanded the scope of usefulness of the existing programs so that it can now meet most of the demands from high precision atomic and molecular structure calculations. Additional comments including restrictions and unusual features: Reduce3j can effectively handle any open or closed graph, as long as the graph has more than one free line, and all the magnetic angular momentum quantum numbers from internal lines are summed over.

Matrix-Product-State Algorithm for Finite Fractional Quantum Hall Systems

Abstract:Exact diagonalization is a powerful tool to study fractional quantum Hall (FQH) systems. However, its capability is limited by the exponentially increasing computational cost. In order to overcome this difficulty, density-matrix-renormalization-group (DMRG) algorithms were developed for much larger system sizes. Very recently, it was realized that some model FQH states have exact matrix-product-state (MPS) representation. Motivated by this, here we report a MPS code, which is closely related to, but different from traditional DMRG language, for finite FQH systems on the cylinder geometry. By representing the many-body Hamiltonian as a matrix-product-operator (MPO) and using single-site update and density matrix correction, we show that our code can efficiently search the ground state of various FQH systems. We also compare the performance of our code with traditional DMRG. The possible generalization of our code to infinite FQH systems and other physical systems is also discussed.

Abstract:We present a Mathematica package AmpRed for the semi-automatic calculations of multi-loop Feynman amplitudes with high efficiency and precision. AmpRed implements the methods of integration by parts and differential equations in the Feynman-parameter representation. It allows for the calculations of general parametric integrals (which may not have momentum-space correspondences). Various user-friendly tools for multi-loop calculations, such as those to construct and solve differential equations for Feynman integrals, are provided. It can also deal with tensor algebras in non-relativistic field theories. Interfaces to some packages, like QGRAF and FOMR, are also provided.

Abstract:FeAmGen.jl is a Julia package designed to generate Feynman diagrams and their corresponding amplitudes for various processes in particle physics. Utilizing the models in the Universal Feynman Output (UFO) format and Qgraf for diagram generation, it also employs SymEngine.jl and Form for amplitude generation. Additionally, the package offers functions for constructing Feynman integral topologies. In conclusion, FeAmGen.jl provides usability and versatility for the high precision calculations of the perturbative quantum field theory in the Standard Model or in the extensions beyond it. Triangular tessellations of one-loop scattering amplitudes in $ϕ^3$ theory

Abstract:Inspired by the recent work of Nima Arkani Hamed and collaborators who introduced the notion of positive geometry to account for the structure of tree-level scattering amplitudes in bi-adjoint $\phi^3$ theory, which led to one-loop descriptions of the integrands. Here we consider the one-loop integrals themselves in $\phi^3$ theory. In order to achieve this end, the geometrical construction offered by Schnetz for Feynman diagrams is hereby extended, and the results are presented. The extension relies on masking the loop momentum variable with a constant and proceeding with the calculations. The results appear as a construction given in a diagrammatic manner. The significance of the resulting triangular diagrams is that they have a common side amongst themselves for the corresponding Feynman diagrams they pertain to. Further extensions to this mathematical construction can lead to additional insights into higher loops. A mathematica code has been provided in order to generate the final results given the initial parameters of the theory.

Abstract:We use variational perturbation theory to calculate various universal amplitude ratios above and below Tc in minimally subtracted straight phi4 theory with N components in three dimensions. In order to best exhibit the method as a powerful alternative to Borel resummation techniques, we consider only two- and three-loops expressions where our results are analytic expressions. For the critical exponents, we also extend existing analytic expressions for two loops to three loops.

Abstract:In a recent paper \cite{ft} a new powerful method to calculate Feynman diagrams was proposed. It consists in setting up a Taylor series expansion in the external momenta squared. The Taylor coefficients are obtained from the original diagram by differentiation and putting the external momenta equal to zero. It was demonstrated that by a certain conformal mapping and subsequent resummation by means of Padé approximants it is possible to obtain high precision numerical values of the Feynman integrals in the whole cut plane. The real problem in this approach is the calculation of the Taylor coefficients for the arbitrary mass case. Since their analytic evaluation by means of CA packages uses enormous CPU and yields very lengthy expressions, we develop an algorithm with the aim to set up a FORTRAN package for their numerical evaluation. This development is guided by the possibilities offered by the formulae manipulating language FORM \cite{FORM}.

Abstract:We present our investigation of the study of two variable hypergeometric series, namely Appell $F_{1}$ and $F_{3}$ series, and obtain a comprehensive list of its analytic continuations enough to cover the whole real $(x,y)$ plane, except on their singular loci. We also derive analytic continuations of their 3-variable generalization, the Lauricella $F_{D}^{(3)}$ series and the Lauricella-Saran $F_{S}^{(3)}$ series, leveraging the analytic continuations of $F_{1}$ and $F_{3}$, which ensures that the whole real $(x,y,z)$ space is covered, except on the singular loci of these functions. While these studies are motivated by the frequent occurrence of these multivariable hypergeometric functions in Feynman integral evaluation, they can also be used whenever they appear in other branches of mathematical physics. To facilitate their practical use, we provide four packages: $\texttt{AppellF1.wl}$, $\texttt{AppellF3.wl}$, $\texttt{LauricellaFD.wl}$, and $\texttt{LauricellaSaranFS.wl}$ in $\textit{MATHEMATICA}$. These packages are applicable for generic as well as non-generic values of parameters, keeping in mind their utilities in the evaluation of the Feynman integrals. We explicitly present various physical applications of these packages in the context of Feynman integral evaluation and compare the results using other means as well. Various $\textit{MATHEMATICA}$ notebooks demonstrating different numerical results are also provided along with this paper.

A Mathematica program for numerically computing real and complex critical points in 4-dimensional Lorentzian spinfoam amplitude

Abstract:This work develops a comprehensive algorithm and a Mathematica program to construct boundary data and compute real and complex critical points in spinfoam amplitudes. Our approach covers both spacelike tetrahedra and triangles in the EPRL model and timelike tetrahedra and triangles in the Conrady-Hnybida extension, aiming at addressing a wide range of physical scenarios such as cosmology and black holes. Starting with a single 4-simplex, we explain how to numerically construct boundary data and corresponding real critical points from any nondegenerate 4-simplex geometry. Extending this to the simplicial complex, we demonstrate the algorithm for constructing boundary data and critical points using examples with two 4-simplices sharing an internal tetrahedron. By revisiting the $\Delta_3$ triangulation with curved geometry, we demonstrate the numerical computation of the real critical point corresponding to the flat geometry and the deformation to the complex critical points. Additionally, the program evaluates the spinfoam action at the critical points and compare to the Regge action.

Abstract:Given a PDE in [10] it is proposed a method for constructing solutions by considering an associative real algebra A, and a suitable affine vector field ${\varphi}$ with respect to which the components of all the functions $\mathcal{L}\circ{\varphi}$ are solutions, where $\mathcal L$ is differentiable in the sense of Lorch with respect to A. When we consider the 3D cyclic algebra and a suitable 3D affine map ${\varphi}$ we get families of solutions for the Laplace equation with three independent variables.

$Φ^p$ Amplitudes from the Positive Tropical Grassmannian: Triangulations of Extended Diagrams

Abstract:The global Schwinger formula, introduced by Cachazo and Early as a single integral over the positive tropical Grassmannian, provides a way to uncover properties of scattering amplitudes which are hard to see in their standard Feynman diagram formulation. In a recent work, Cachazo and one of the authors extended the global Schwinger formula to general $\phi^p$ theories. When $p=4$, it was conjectured that the integral decomposes as a sum over cones which are in bijection with non-crossing chord diagrams, and further that these can be obtained by finding the zeroes of a piece-wise linear function, $H(x)$. In this note we give a proof of this conjecture. We also present a purely combinatorial way of computing $\phi^p$ amplitudes by triangulating a trivial extended version of non-crossing $(p-2)$-chord diagrams, called extended diagrams, and present a proof of the bijection between triangulated extended diagrams and Feynman diagrams when $p=4$. This is reminiscent of recent constructions using Stokes polytopes and accordiohedra. However, the $\phi^p$ amplitude is now partitioned by a new collection of objects, each of which characterizes a polyhedral cone in the positive tropical Grassmannian in the form of an associahedron or of an intersection of two associahedra. Moreover, we comment on the bijection between extended diagrams and double-ordered biadjoint scalar amplitudes. We also conjecture the form of the general piece-wise linear function, $H^{\phi^p}(x)$, whose zeroes generate the regions in which the $\phi^p$ global Schwinger formula decomposes into.

Abstract:A program dedicated to the numerical solution of the evolution equations for twist-three multiparton correlation functions is presented. The solutions are obtained by direct integration on a discretized momentum fraction grid. Both flavor nonsinglet and flavor singlet evolution (in both $C$-parity sectors) can be addressed. Physical applications include single spin asymmetries and the subleading twist contribution to the polarized structure function $g_2$. An arbitrary input is accepted for the initial distributions.

Abstract:AMFlow is a Mathematica package to numerically compute dimensionally regularized Feynman integrals via the recently proposed auxiliary mass flow method. In this framework, integrals are treated as functions of an auxiliary mass parameter and their results can be obtained by constructing and solving linear differential systems with respect to this parameter, in an automatic way. The usage of this package is described in detail through an explicit example of double-box family involved in two-loop tt¯ hadroproduction.

Abstract:In this paper, we established an analytical solution for the fractional phi-4 model within the Caputo derivative using the homotopy analysis method. This equation known for its nonlinear characteristics often describes various physical phenomena like solitons, wave propagation, and field theories. The fractional version introduces fractional derivatives, making it even more challenging. The homotopy analysis method can effectively handle these nonlinearities. Our objective was to illustrate the reliability and accuracy of our proposed algorithm, which we achieved through a comparative analysis against results obtained using the Yang transform decomposition method. Using the residual error to determine the optimal value of the convergence control parameter $ \hbar $, the results presented underscored the remarkable efficiency and accuracy of this approach.

Abstract:In order to study 4-body atomic collisions such as excitation-ionization, transfer with target excitation, and double electron capture, the calculation of a nine-dimensional numerical integral is often required. This calculation can become computationally expensive, especially when calculating fully differential cross sections (FDCS), where the positions and momenta of all the particles are known. We have developed a new technique for calculating FDCS using fewer computing hours, but more memory. This new technique allows for much more efficient calculations and the use of many fewer resources.
