Abstract:We present a combinatorial problem which consists in finding irreducible Krajewski diagrams from finite geometries. This problem boils down to placing arrows into a quadratic array with some additional constrains. The Krajewski diagrams play a central role in the description of finite noncommutative geometries. They allow to localise the standard model of particle physics within the set of all Yang-Mills-Higgs models.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is to find irreducible Krajewski graphs by means of combinatorial mathematics, so as to describe standard model particle physics in finite geometries. Specifically, the core problems of the paper can be summarized as follows: 1. **Finding irreducible Krajewski graphs**: The author proposes a combinatorial mathematics problem, aiming to find irreducible Krajewski graphs from finite geometries. These graphs play an important role in non - commutative geometry and can help locate the position of standard model particle physics in all Yang - Mills - Higgs models. 2. **Constructing and classifying almost - commutative geometries**: Through these Krajewski graphs, almost - commutative geometries can be classified. Almost - commutative geometries unify general relativity and standard model particle physics in classical field theory. 3. **Determining the special status of the standard model**: Through the study of these graphs, the prominent position of the standard model in all Yang - Mills - Higgs theories compatible with non - commutative geometry can be further confirmed. ### Specific problem decomposition - **Defining multiplicity matrices**: Given a set of square matrices \(M\in M_{n}(\mathbb{Z})\) with integer elements, and for a fixed \(n\), these matrices are called multiplicity matrices. Define a partial order relation: \(M\geq M'\) if and only if \(M_{ij}\) and \(M'_{ij}\) have the same sign and \(\vert M_{ij}\vert\geq\vert M'_{ij}\vert\) for all \(i, j = 1,\ldots, n\). - **Finding the minimum multiplicity matrices**: The task is to find all the minimum multiplicity matrices that satisfy two conditions: 1. The determinant of the matrix is non - zero. 2. For any non - zero matrix element, there must be an element with the opposite sign in the same row or the same column. - **Transforming the problem into a combinatorial problem**: Using arrows as basic elements, transform the above problem into a combinatorial problem. The construction rules include how to put arrows into a square graph and ensure that these arrows meet specific constraints. - **Constructing and simplifying Krajewski graphs**: Through a series of operations (such as merging or "clipping" arrows), generate and simplify Krajewski graphs. The ultimate goal is to find irreducible graphs with the fewest arrows and as simplified as possible while keeping the determinant of the multiplicity matrix non - zero. ### Main contributions of the paper - Proposed an algorithm to systematically generate and classify irreducible Krajewski graphs. - Through the study of these graphs, revealed the special status of the standard model in the framework of non - commutative geometry. - Provided a new perspective for understanding almost - commutative geometries, which is helpful for in - depth study of the standard model of particle physics. Through these works, the paper provides new tools and methods for understanding standard model particle physics, especially in the context of non - commutative geometry.
