Abstract:Let $\fg$ be any untwisted affine Kac-Moody algebra, $\mu$ any fixed complex number, and $\wt\fg(\mu)$ the corresponding toroidal extended affine Lie algebra of nullity two. For any $k$-tuple $\bm{\lambda}=({\lambda}_1, \cdots, {\lambda}_k)$ of weights of $\fg$, and $k$-tuple $\bm{a}=(a_1,\cdots, a_k)$ of distinct non-zero complex numbers, we construct a class of modules $\wt V(\bm{\lambda},\bm{a})$ for the extended affine Lie algebra $\wt\fg(\mu)$. We prove that the $\wt\fg(\mu)$-module $\wt V(\bm{\lambda},\bm{a})$ is completely reducible. We also prove that the $\wt\fg(\mu)$-module $\wt V(\bm{\lambda},\bm{a})$ is integrable when all weights $\lambda_i$ in $\bm{\lambda}$ are dominant integral. Thus, we obtain a new class of irreducible integrable weight modules for the toroidal extended affine Lie algebra $\wt\fg(\mu)$.

Abstract:We establish several strengthened versions of Lurie's Tannaka duality theorem for certain classes of spectral algebraic stacks. Our most general version of Tannaka duality identifies maps between stacks with exact symmetric monoidal functors between $\infty$-categories of quasi-coherent complexes which preserve connective and pseudo-coherent complexes.

Abstract:We extend previous work by constructing a universal abelian tensor category ${\bf T}_t$ generated by two objects $X,Y$ equipped with finite filtrations $0\subsetneq X_0\subsetneq ... X_{t+1}\subsetneq X$ and $0\subsetneq Y_0\subsetneq ... Y_{t+1}\subsetneq Y$, and with a pairing $X\otimes Y\to \mathbb{I}$, where $\mathbb{I}$ is the monoidal unit. This category is modeled as a category of representations of a Mackey Lie algebra $\mathfrak{gl}^M(V,V_*)$ of cardinality $2^{\aleph_t}$, associated to a diagonalizable pairing between two complex vector spaces $V,V_*$ of dimension $\aleph_t$. As a preliminary step, we study a tensor category $\mathbb{T}_t$ generated by the algebraic duals $V^*$, $(V_*)^*$. The injective hull of $\mathbb{C}$ in $\mathbb{T}_t$ is a commutative algebra $I$, and the category ${\bf T}_t$ is consists of the free $I$-modules in $\mathbb{T}_t$. An essential novelty in our work is the explicit computation of Ext-groups between simples in both categories ${\bf T}_t$ and $\mathbb{T}_t$, which had been an open problem already for $t=0$. This provides a direct link from the theory of universal tensor categories to Littlewood-Richardson-type combinatorics.

Equivariant Tannaka-Krein reconstruction and quantum automorphism groups of discrete structures

Abstract:We define quantum automorphism groups of a wide range of discrete structures. The central tool for their construction is a generalisation of the Tannaka-Krein reconstruction theorem. For any direct sum of matrix algebras $M$, and any concrete unitary 2-category of finite type Hilbert-$M$-bimodules $\mathcal{C}$, under reasonable conditions, we construct an algebraic quantum group $\mathbb{G}$ which acts on $M$ by $\alpha$, such that the category of $\alpha$-equivariant corepresentations of $\mathbb{G}$ on finite type Hilbert-$M$-bimodules is equivalent to $\mathcal{C}$. Moreover, we explicitly describe how to get such categories from connected locally finite discrete structures. As an example, we define the quantum automorphism group of a quantum Cayley graph.

Higher Lie theory in positive characteristic

Abstract:The main goal of this article is to develop integration theory over a positive characteristic field, and as a by-product, construct Lie-type models for the $p$-adic homotopy types of spaces. We introduce a new type of algebraic structure called curved \textit{absolute} partition $\mathcal{L}_\infty$-algebra, which always admits a well-defined Maurer-Cartan equation. We construct a Quillen adjunction between curved absolute partition $\mathcal{L}_\infty$-algebras and simplicial sets, where the right adjoint is the integration functor. We show that it satisfies the same properties that its characteristic zero analogues. We also give an explicit combinatorial description of gauge equivalences. And using our constructions, we show how one can recover the $\mathbb{E}_\infty$-formal moduli problem associated to a (spectral) partition $\mathcal{L}_\infty$-algebra, under a homotopy completeness assumption. Finally, we use the left adjoint of the integration functor to construct Quillen-like models for the $p$-adic homotopy types of spaces and of their mapping spaces.

Abstract:Tensor hierarchy algebras constitute a class of non-contragredient Lie superalgebras, whose finite-dimensional members are the "Cartan-type" Lie superalgebras in Kac's classification. They have applications in mathematical physics, especially in extended geometry and gauged supergravity. We further develop the recently proposed definition of tensor hierarchy algebras in terms of generators and relations encoded in a Dynkin diagram (which coincides with the diagram for a related Borcherds superalgebra). We apply it to cases where a grey node is added to the Dynkin diagram of a rank $r+1$ Kac-Moody algebra $\mathfrak{g}^+$, which in turn is an extension of a rank $r$ finite-dimensional semisimple simply laced Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$. The algebras are specified by $\mathfrak{g}$ together with a dominant integral weight $\lambda$. As a by-product, a remarkable identity involving representation matrices for arbitrary integral highest weight representations of $\mathfrak{g}$ is proven. An accompanying paper describes the application of tensor hierarchy algebras to the gauge structure and dynamics in models of extended geometry.

Integrability from categorification and the 2-Kac-Moody Algebra

Abstract:The theory of Poisson-Lie groups and Lie bialgebras plays a major role in the study of one dimensional integrable systems; many families of integrable systems can be recovered from a Lax pair which is constructed from a Lie bialgebra associated to a Poisson-Lie group. A higher homotopy notion of Poisson-Lie groups and Lie bialgebras has been studied using Lie algebra crossed-modules and $L_2$-algebras, which gave rise to the notion of (strict) Lie 2-bialgebras and Poisson-Lie 2-groups . In this paper, we use these structures to generalize the construction of a Lax pairs and introduce an appropriate notion of {higher homotopy integrability}. Within this framework, we introduce a higher homotopy version of the Kac-Moody algebra, with which the 2-Lax equation can be rewritten as a zero 2-curvature condition in 2+1d. An explicit characterization of our higher Kac-Moody algebra will be given, and we also demonstrate how it governs the 2-Lax pairs and the symmetries of a 3d topological-holomorphic field theory studied recently. This 3d theory thus serves as an example of a physical system that exhibits the sort of 2-graded integrability that we have defined here.

Embedding tensors on Lie $\infty$-algebras with respect to Lie $\infty$-actions

Abstract:Given two Lie $\infty$-algebras $E$ and $V$, any Lie $\infty$-action of $E$ on $V$ defines a Lie $\infty$-algebra structure on $E\oplus V$. Some compatibility between the action and the Lie $\infty$-structure on $V$ is needed to obtain a particular Loday $\infty$-algebra, the non-abelian hemisemidirect product. These are the coherent actions. For coherent actions it is possible to define non-abelian homotopy embedding tensors as Maurer-Cartan elements of a convenient Lie $\infty$-algebra. Generalizing the classical case, we see that a non-abelian homotopy embedding tensor defines a Loday $\infty$-structure on $V$ and is a morphism between this new Loday $\infty$-algebra and $E$.

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{sl}(2)\ltimes \mathfrak{h}_n$, $n\ge 1$, be the Galilean Lie algebra over a field of characteristic zero, here $\mathfrak{h}_{n}$ is the Heisenberg Lie algebra of dimension $2n+1$, and $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$ acts on $\mathfrak{h}_{n}$ so that $\mathfrak{h}_n\simeq V(2n-1)\oplus V(0)$ as $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$-modules (here $V(k)$ denotes the irreducible $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$-module of highest weight $k$). In this paper, we study the tensor product of two uniserial representations of $\mathfrak{sl}(2)\ltimes \mathfrak{h}_n$. We obtain the $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$-module structure of the socle of $V\otimes W$ and we describe the space of intertwining operators $\text{Hom}_{\mathfrak{sl}(2)\ltimes \mathfrak{h}_n}(V,W)$, where $V$ and $W$ are uniserial representations of $\mathfrak{sl}(2)\ltimes \mathfrak{h}_n$. The structure of the radical of $V\otimes W$ follows from that of the socle of $V^*\otimes W^*$. The result is subtle and shows how difficult is to obtain the whole socle series of arbitrary tensor products of uniserials. In contrast to the serial associative case, our results for $\mathfrak{sl}(2)\ltimes \mathfrak{h}_n$ reveal that these tensor products are far from being a direct sum of uniserials; in particular, there are cases in which the tensor product of two uniserial $\big(\mathfrak{sl}(2)\ltimes \mathfrak{h}_n\big)$-modules is indecomposable but not uniserial. Recall that a foundational result of T. Nakayama states that every finitely generated module over a serial associative algebra is a direct sum of uniserial modules. This article extends a previous work in which we obtained the corresponding results for the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}(2)\ltimes \mathfrak{a}_m$ where $\mathfrak{a}_m$ is the abelian Lie algebra of dimension $m+1$ and $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$ acts so that $\mathfrak{a}_m\simeq V(m)$ as $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$-modules.

Integral preserving discretization of 2D Toda lattices

Abstract:There are different methods of discretizing integrable systems. We consider semi-discrete analog of two-dimensional Toda lattices associated to the Cartan matrices of simple Lie algebras that was proposed by Habibullin in 2011. This discretization is based on the notion of Darboux integrability. Generalized Toda lattices are known to be Darboux integrable in the continuous case (that is, they admit complete families of characteristic integrals in both directions). We prove that semi-discrete analogs of Toda lattices associated to the Cartan matrices of all simple Lie algebras are Darboux integrable. By examining the properties of Habibullin's discretization we show that if a function is a characteristic integral for a generalized Toda lattice in the continuous case, then the same function is a characteristic integral in the semi-discrete case as well. We consider characteristic algebras of such integral-preserving discretizations of Toda lattices to prove the existence of complete families of characteristic integrals in the second direction.

Assume that there is a Poisson bracket $\{\:,\:\}$ on $S$ such that $\{I,S\}\subseteq I$ and let us denote the induced bracket on $A$ by $\{\:,\:\}$ as well. It is well-known that $[\mathrm d x_i,\mathrm d x_j]:=\mathrm d\{x_i,x_j\}$ defines a Lie bracket on the $A$-module $\Omega_{A|\boldsymbol k}$ of Kähler differentials making $(A,\Omega_{A|\boldsymbol k})$ a Lie-Rinehart pair. Recall that $A$ is regular if and only if $\Omega_{A|\boldsymbol k}$ is projective as an $A$-module. If $A$ is not regular, the cotangent complex $\mathbb L_{A|\boldsymbol k}$ may serve as a replacement for the $A$-module $\Omega_{A|\boldsymbol k}$. We prove that there is a structure of an $L_\infty$-algebroid on $\mathbb L_{A|\boldsymbol k}$, compatible with the Lie-Rinehart pair $(A,\Omega_{A|\boldsymbol k})$. The $L_\infty$-algebroid on $\mathbb L_{A|\boldsymbol k}$ actually comes from a $P_\infty$-algebra structure on the resolvent of the morphism $k[x_1,x_2,\dots, x_n]\to A$. We identify examples when this $L_\infty$-algebroid simplifies to a dg Lie algebroid. For aesthetic reasons we concentrate on cases when $ \boldsymbol k[x_1,x_2,\dots, x_n]$ carries a (possibly nonstandard) $\mathbb Z_{\ge 0}$-grading and both $I$ and $\{\:,\:\}$ are homogeneous.

On the space of $2d$ integrable models

Abstract:We study infinite dimensional Lie algebras, whose infinite dimensional mutually commuting subalgebras correspond with the symmetry algebra of $2d$ integrable models. These Lie algebras are defined by the set of infinitesimal, nonlinear, and higher derivative symmetry transformations present in theories with a left(right)-moving or (anti)-holomorphic current. We study a large class of such Lagrangian theories. We classify the commuting subalgebras of the $2d$ free massless scalar, and find the symmetries of the known integrable models such as sine-Gordon, Liouville, Bullough-Dodd, and Korteweg-de Vries. Along the way, we find several new sequences of commuting charges, which we conjecture are charges of integrable models which are new deformations of a single scalar. After quantizing, the Lie algebra is deformed, and so are their commuting subalgebras.

Abstract:We show that Lurie's results on Tannaka duality for geometric stacks hold without any tameness hypotheses. We deduce this as a consequence of an affineness theorem in the theory of sheaves of categories. This affineness result is also applied to the study of tensor product and integral transform formulas for categories of quasicoherent sheaves.

Homotopy Invariants of Braided Commutative Algebras and the Deligne Conjecture for Finite Tensor Categories

Abstract:It is easy to find algebras $\mathbb{T}\in\mathcal{C}$ in a finite tensor category $\mathcal{C}$ that naturally come with a lift to a braided commutative algebra $\mathsf{T}\in Z(\mathcal{C})$ in the Drinfeld center of $\mathcal{C}$. In fact, any finite tensor category has at least two such algebras, namely the monoidal unit $I$ and the canonical end $\int_{X\in\mathcal{C}} X\otimes X^\vee$. Using the theory of braided operads, we prove that for any such algebra $\mathbb{T}$ the homotopy invariants, i.e. the derived morphism space from $I$ to $\mathbb{T}$, naturally come with the structure of a differential graded $E_2$-algebra. This way, we obtain a rich source of differential graded $E_2$-algebras in the homological algebra of finite tensor categories. We use this result to prove that Deligne's $E_2$-structure on the Hochschild cochain complex of a finite tensor category is induced by the canonical end, its multiplication and its non-crossing half braiding. With this new and more explicit description of Deligne's $E_2$-structure, we can lift the Farinati-Solotar bracket on the Ext algebra of a finite tensor category to an $E_2$-structure at cochain level. Moreover, we prove that, for a unimodular pivotal finite tensor category, the inclusion of the Ext algebra into the Hochschild cochains is a monomorphism of framed $E_2$-algebras, thereby refining a result of Menichi.

Locally finite infinity-modules and weak Loday-Pirashvili modules over differential graded Lie algebras

Abstract: Motivated by recent developments of $\infty$-categorical theories related to differential graded (dg for short) Lie algebras, we develop a general framework for locally finite $\infty$-$\mathfrak{g}$-modules over a dg Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$. We show that the category of such locally finite $\infty$-$\mathfrak{g}$-modules is almost a model category in the sense of Vallette. As a homotopy theoretical generalization of Loday and Pirashvili's Lie algebra objects in the tensor category of linear maps, we further study weak Loday-Pirashvili modules consisting of $\infty$-morphisms from locally finite $\infty$-$\mathfrak{g}$-modules to the adjoint module $\mathfrak{g}$. From the category of such weak Loday-Pirashvili modules over $\mathfrak{g}$, we find a functor that maps to the category of Leibniz$_\infty$ algebras enriched over the Chevalley-Eilenberg dg algebra of $\mathfrak{g}$. This functor can be regarded as the homotopy lifting of Loday and Pirashvili's original method to realize Leibniz algebras from Lie algebra objects in the category of linear maps.

Abstract:We prove cocontinuity of the $\max$-tensor product of C*-categories and develop a framework to perform factorization homology in a C*-setting. In such context, we specialize some results of D. Ben-Zvi, A. Brochier and D. Jordan. As a consequence of our constructions, we realize quantum Hamiltonian reduction in terms of bimodules over a factor $N$. We also provide a GNS-type reconstruction theorem for C*-algebra objects of in categories of bimodules over a II_1-factor, enhancing a realization theorem due to C. Jones and D. Penneys.
