Abstract:The r -KdV–CH hierarchy is a generalization of the Korteweg–de Vries and Camassa–Holm hierarchies parameterized by r + 1 constants. In this paper we clarify some properties of its multi-Hamiltonian structures including the explicit expressions of the Hamiltonians, the formulae of the central invariants of the associated bihamiltonian structures and the relationship of these bihamiltonian structures with Frobenius manifolds. By introducing a class of generalized Hamiltonian structures, we present in a natural way the transformation formulae of the Hamiltonian structures of the hierarchy under certain reciprocal transformations, and prove the validity of the formulae at the level of dispersionless limit.

Abstract:We propose a new multi-component two-dimensional Toda lattice hierarchy (mc2dTLH) which includes two-dimensional Toda lattice equation with self-consistent sources (2dTLSCS) as the first non-trivial equation. The Lax representations for this mc2dTLH are presented. We construct a non-auto-Bäcklund Darboux transformation (DT) for 2dTLSCS by applying the method of variation of constant (MVC) to ordinary DT of 2dTLSCS. This non-auto-Bäcklund DT enables us to obtain various solutions such as solitons, rational solutions etc., to 2dTLSCS.

Abstract:Starting from a so-called flat exact semisimple bihamiltonian structure of hydrodynamic type, we arrive at a Frobenius manifold structure and a tau structure for the associated principal hierarchy. We then classify the deformations of the principal hierarchy which possess tau structures.

Abstract:: We compute the genus one correction to the integrable hierarchy describing coupling to gravity of a 2D topological field theory. The bihamiltonian structure of the hierarchy is given by a classical W -algebra; we compute the central charge of this algebra. We also express the generating function of elliptic Gromov–Witten invariants via tau-function of the isomonodromy deformation problem arising in the theory of WDVV equations of associativity.

Symmetry Integrability and Geometry Methods and Applications

Abstract:We construct a certain reduction of the 2D Toda hierarchy and obtain a tau-symmetric Hamiltonian integrable hierarchy. This reduced integrable hierarchy controls the linear Hodge integrals in the way that one part of its flows yields the intermediate long wave hierarchy, and the remaining flows coincide with a certain limit of the flows of the fractional Volterra hierarchy which controls the special cubic Hodge integrals.

Abstract:Using construction of logarithm of a difference operator, we present the Lax pair formalism for certain extension of the continuous version of the classical Toda lattice hierarchy, provide a well defined notion of tau function for its solutions, and give an explicit formulation of the relationship between the CP1 topological sigma model and the extended Toda hierarchy. We also establish an equivalence of the latter with certain extension of the nonlinear Schrodinger hierarchy.

Abstract:Following the approach of Carlet et al.(2011)\cite{CDM}, we construct a class of infinite-dimensional Frobenius manifolds underlying the Toda lattice hierarchy, which are defined on the space of pairs of meromorphic functions with possibly higher-order poles at the origin and at infinity. We also show a connection between these infinite-dimensional Frobenius manifolds and the finite-dimensional Frobenius manifolds on the orbit space of extended affine Weyl groups of type $A$ defined by Dubrovin and Zhang.

Abstract:The paper deals with affine 2-dimensional Toda field theories related to simple Lie algebras of the classical series ${\bf D}_r$. We demonstrate that the complexification procedure followed by a restriction to a specified real Hamiltonian form commutes with the external automorphisms of $\mathfrak{g}$. This is illustrated on the examples ${\bf D}_{r+1}^{(1)} \to {\bf B}_r^{(1)}$ and ${\bf D}_4^{(1)} \to {\bf G}_2^{(1)}$ using external automorphisms of the corresponding extended Dynkin diagrams.

Abstract:We propose, in bihamiltonian formalism, a version of the Toda lattice hierarchy that is satisfied by the two point correlation functions of the CP1 topological sigma model at genus one approximation, and we also show that this bihamiltonian hierarchy is compatible with the Virasoro constraints of Eguchi–Hori–Xiong up to genus two approximation.

Abstract:We construct a local tri-Hamiltonian structure of the Ablowitz-Ladik hierarchy, and compute the central invariants of the associated bihamiltonian structures. We show that the central invariants of one of the bihamiltonian structures are equal to 1/24, and the dispersionless limit of this bihamiltonian structure coincides with the one that is defined on the jet space of the Frobenius manifold associated with the Gromov-Witten invariants of local CP1. This result provides support for the validity of Brini's conjecture on the relation of these Gromov-Witten invariants with the Ablowitz-Ladik hierarchy.

Abstract:We study the Harry Dym hierarchy of nonlinear evolution equations from the bi-Hamiltonian view point. This is done by using the concept of an S-hierarchy. It allows us to define a matrix Harry Dym hierarchy of commuting Hamiltonian flows in two fields that projects onto the scalar Harry Dym hierarchy. We also show that the conserved densities of the matrix Harry Dym equation can be found by means of a Riccati-type equation.

Abstract:The symmetry for two-dimensional (2D) dispersionless Toda lattice hierarchy (dTLH) is firstly derived, and then the 2D dTLH is extended based on the symmetry constraint. The commutativity of two different flows for this new hierarchy is shown, which leads to the 2D dToda lattice equation with self-consistent sources (dTLESCSs) together with its conservation equation. The hodograph solutions to 2D dTLESCSs are also given. One dimensional reduction of extended 2D dTLH is finally investigated by finding the constraint, and a one-dimensional dTLESCS is shown.

Abstract:We derive an explicit formula for the connected $(n,m)$-point functions associated to an arbitrary diagonal tau-function $\tau_f(\boldsymbol{t}^+,\boldsymbol{t}^-)$ of the 2d Toda lattice hierarchy using fermionic computations and the boson-fermion correspondence. Then for fixed $\boldsymbol{t}^-$, we compute the KP-affine coordinates of $\tau_f(\boldsymbol{t}^+,\boldsymbol{t}^-)$. As applications, we present a unified approach to compute various types of connected double Hurwitz numbers, including the ordinary double Hurwitz numbers, the double Hurwitz numbers with completed $r$-cycles, and the mixed double Hurwitz numbers. We also apply this method to the computation of the stationary Gromov-Witten invariants of $\mathbb P^1$ relative to two points.

Hamiltonian models for topological phases of matter in three spatial dimensions

Abstract:We present commuting projector Hamiltonian realizations of a large class of (3+1)D topological models based on mathematical objects called unitary G-crossed braided fusion categories. This construction comes with a wealth of examples from the literature of symmetry-enriched topological phases. The spacetime counterparts to our Hamiltonians are unitary state sum topological quantum fields theories (TQFTs) that appear to capture all known constructions in the literature, including the Crane-Yetter-Walker-Wang and 2-Group gauge theory models. We also present Hamiltonian realizations of a state sum TQFT recently constructed by Kashaev whose relation to existing models was previously unknown. We argue that this TQFT is captured as a special case of the Crane-Yetter-Walker-Wang model, with a premodular input category in some instances.

Abstract:R-matrix is explicitly constructed for simplest representations of the Ding-Iohara-Miki algebra. The calculation is straightforward and significantly simpler than the one through the universal R-matrix used for a similar calculation in the Yangian case by A.~Smirnov but less general. We investigate the interplay between the R-matrix structure and the structure of DIM algebra intertwiners, i.e.\ of refined topological vertices and show that the R-matrix is diagonalized by the action of the spectral duality belonging to the SL(2,Z) group of DIM algebra automorphisms. We also construct the T-operators satisfying the RTT relations with the R-matrix from refined amplitudes on resolved conifold. We thus show that topological string theories on the toric Calabi-Yau threefolds can be naturally interpreted as lattice integrable models. Integrals of motion for these systems are related to q-deformation of the reflection matrices of the Liouville/Toda theories.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to establish a connection between various objects such as dynamical r-matrices, Lie bialgebroids, and Lagrangian subalgebras. Our method relies on the theory of Dirac structures and Courant algebroids. In particular, we give a new method of classifying dynamical r-matrices of simple Lie algebras g, and prove that dynamical r-matrices are in one-one correspondence with certain Lagrangian subalgebras of g circle plus g.

Abstract:The $(n,m)^{\th}$ KdV hierarchy is a restriction of the KP hierarchy to a submanifold of pseudo-differential operators in a radio form. Explicit formula of the restricted Hamiltonian structure of KP is given which provides a new, more constructive proof of the isomorphism between the associated $W(n,m)$-algebra to $W_{n+m}\oplus W_m\oplus U(1)$ algebra, and the Hamiltonian property of the $(n,m)^{\th}$ KdV hierarchy as well as its Lax-Manakov triad representation. Similarly the Hamiltonian property for a version of modified $n^{\th}$ KdV and the isomorphism between $W_n$-algebra to $W_l\oplus W_m\oplus U(1)$ algebra are shown, where $l+m=n$. The role of U(1) current in both cases is also explained.

Abstract:In this paper, we construct the additional $W$-symmetry and ghost symmetry of two-lattice field integrable hierarchies. Using the symmetry constraint, we construct constrained two-lattice integrable systems which contain several new integrable difference equations. Under a further reduction, the constrained two-lattice integrable systems can be combined into one single integrable system, namely the well-known one dimensional original Toda hierarchy. We prove that the one dimensional original Toda hierarchy has a nice Block Lie symmetry.
