Abstract:Let $\mathbb F$ be an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p\ge 0$, which is complete with respect to a non-Archimedean absolute value. Let $V$ be a projective subvariety of $\mathbb P^M(\mathbb F)$. In this paper, we will prove some second main theorems for non-Archimedean meromorphic maps of $\mathbb F^m$ into $V$ intersecting a family of hypersurfaces in $N-$subgeneral position with truncated counting functions.

Abstract:By introducing the notion of distributive constant for a family of closed subschemes, we establish a general form of the second main theorem for algebraic nondegenerate meromorphic mappings from a generalized $p$-Parabolic manifold into a projective variety with arbitrary families of closed subschemes. As its consequence, we give a second main theorem for such meromorphic mappings intersecting arbitrary hypersurfaces with an explicitly truncation level for the counting functions.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the geometry of the moduli space of curves by using the curvature properties of direct image sheaves of vector bundles. We show that the moduli space $(M_g, \omega_{WP})$ of curves with genus $g>1$ has dual-Nakano negative and semi-Nakano-negative curvature, and in particular, it has non-positive Riemannain curvature operator and also non-positive complex sectional curvature. As applications, we prove that any submanifold in $M_g$ which is totally geodesic in $A_g$ with finite volume must be a ball quotient. We also show that, on a Kodaira (deformation) surface, there is no K\"ahler metric with non-positive Riemannain sectional curvature although it possesses K\"ahler metrics with strictly negative holomorphic bisectional curvature.

Abstract:In this article, we establish some new second main theorems for meromorphic mappings of Cmmathbf {C}^m into Pn(C)mathbf {P}^n(mathbf {C}) and moving hyperplanes with truncated counting functions. Our results are improvements of the previous second main theorems for moving hyperplanes with truncated (to level nn) counting functions.

Abstract:The purpose of this article is threefold. The first is to construct a Nevanlina theory for meromorphic mappings from a polydisc to a compact complex manifold. In particular, we give a simple proof of Lemma on logarithmic derivative for nonzero meromorphic functions on $\mathbb{C}^l.$ The second is to improve the definition of the non-integrated defect relation of H. Fujimoto \cite{F2} and to show two theorems on the new non-integrated defect relation of meromorphic maps from a closed submanifold of $\mathbb{C}^l$ to a compact complex manifold. The third is to give a unicity theorem for meromorphic mappings from a Stein manifold to a compact complex manifold.

Abstract:A meromorphic projective structure on a punctured Riemann surface $X\setminus P$ is determined, after fixing a standard projective structure on $X$, by a meromorphic quadratic differential with poles of order three or more at each puncture in $P$. In this article we prove the analogue of Thurston's grafting theorem for such meromorphic projective structures, that involves grafting crowned hyperbolic surfaces. This also provides a grafting description for projective structures on $\mathbb{C}$ that have polynomial Schwarzian derivatives. As an application of our main result, we prove the analogue of a result of Hejhal, namely, we show that the monodromy map to the decorated character variety (in the sense of Fock-Goncharov) is a local homeomorphism.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper has twofold. The first is to establish a Cartan-Nochka theorem for holomorphic curves from annuli into projective varieties intersecting hypersurfaces in subgeneral position with truncated counting functions. The second is to give a second main theorem for such curves with arbitrary families of hypersurfaces, where the truncation level of the counting functions is explicitly estimated not depending on the number of hypersurfaces. As an application, we give a uniqueness theorem for such curves sharing a few hypersurfaces in a projective variety ignoring multiplicity. Our results generalize and improve the recent previous results in this topic.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to establish the second main theorem for holomorphic curves from the annulus into a complex projective variety intersecting an arbitrary family of hypersurfaces. This is done by using the notion of "Distributive Constant" for a family of hypersurfaces with respect to a complex projective variety developed by Quang. We also give an explicit estimate for the level of truncation.

Our result also is generalizes and improves many previous second main theorems for holomorphic maps from $\mathbb C$ intersecting hypersurfaces (moving and fixed) in projective varieties.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the uniqueness problem for linearly nondegenerate meromorphic mappings from a Kähler manifold into $\mathbb P^n(\mathbb C)$ satisfying a condition $(C_\rho)$ and sharing hyperplanes in general position, where the condition that two meromorphic mappings $f,g$ have the same inverse image for some hyperplanes $H$ is replaced by a weaker one that $f^{-1}(H)\subset g^{-1}(H)$. Moreover, we also give some improvements on the uniqueness problem and algebraic dependence problem of meromorphic mappings which share hyperplanes and satisfy $(C_\rho)$ conditions for different non-negative numbers $\rho$.

Abstract:In this article, we study the topology and bifurcations of the moduli space M-3 of cubic Newton maps. It's a subspace of the moduli space of cubic rational maps, carrying the Riemann orbifold structure ((C)over-bar, (2, 3, infinity)).We prove two results: The boundary of the unique unbounded hyperbolic component is a Jordan arc and the boundaries of all other hyperbolic components are Jordan curves; The Head's angle map is surjective and monotone. The fibers of this map are characterized completely. The first result is a moduli space analogue of the first author's dynamical regularity theorem [37]. The second result confirms a conjecture of Tan Lei. (C) 2017 Published by Elsevier Inc.

Abstract:Let $1\leq p\leq n$ be two positive integers. For a linearly nondegenerate holomorphic mapping $f\colon\mathbb{C}^p\rightarrow\mathbb{P}^n(\mathbb{C})$ of maximal rank intersecting a family of hyperplanes in general position, we obtain a Cartan's type Second Main Theorem in which the counting functions are truncated to level $n+1-p$. Our result strengthens the classical results of Stoll and Vitter, and interpolates the important works of Cartan and Carlson-Griffiths.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to establish a non-integrated defect relation for meromorphic mappings from a complete Kähler manifold into a projective variety intersecting an arbitrary family of hypersurfaces with explicit truncation level. In our result, both the total defect and the truncation level are estimated independently of the number of involving hypersurfaces. Our result generalizes and improves the previous results in this topic.

Abstract:By means of $C^\infty$-connections we will prove a general second main theorem and some special ones for holomorphic curves. The method gives a geometric proof of H. Cartan's second main theorem in 1933. By applying the same method, we will prove some second main theorems in the case of the product space $(\pone)^2$ of the Riemann sphere.

Abstract:We study projective structures on a surface having poles of prescribed orders. We obtain a monodromy map from a complex manifold parameterising such structures to the stack of framed $\mathrm{PGL}_2(\mathbb{C})$ local systems on the associated marked bordered surface. We prove that the image of this map is contained in the union of the domains of the cluster charts. We discuss a number of open questions concerning this monodromy map.

Abstract:We determine the image of the monodromy map for meromorphic projective structures with poles of orders greater than two. This proves the analogue of a theorem of Gallo-Kapovich-Marden, and answers a question of Allegretti and Bridgeland. Our proof uses coordinates on the moduli space of framed representations arising from the work of Fock and Goncharov.

Abstract:The complex projective structures considered is this article are compact curves locally modeled on $\mathbb{CP}^1$. To such a geometric object, modulo marked isomorphism, the monodromy map associates an algebraic one: a representation of its fundamental group into $\operatorname{PGL}(2,\mathbb{C})$, modulo conjugacy. This correspondence is neither surjective nor injective. Nonetheless, it is a local diffeomorphism [Hejhal, 1975]. We generalize this theorem to projective structures admitting poles (without apparent singularity and with fixed residues): the corresponding monodromy map (including Stokes data) is a local biholomorphism.
