Abstract:In this paper, von Neumann entropy is used to study three kinds of bipartite qutrit model, which represent SU(3) strongly correlated model, three-level Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model, and spin-1 model. The relation between the ground-state entanglement and the quantum phase transition in those models is exhibited and the connection between the entanglement extremes and the symmetries is also discussed.

Abstract:The entanglement measure for multiqudits is proposed. This measure calculates the partial entanglement distributed by subsystems and the complete entanglement of the total system. This shows that we need to measure the subsystem entanglements to explain the full description for multiqudit entanglement. Furthermore, we extend the entanglement measure to mixed multiqubits and the higher dimension Hilbert spaces.

Abstract:The entanglement quantification and classification of multipartite quantum states is an important research area in quantum information. In this paper, in terms of the reduced density matrices corresponding to all possible partitions of the entire system, a bounded entanglement measure is constructed for arbitrary-dimensional multipartite quantum states. In particular, for three-qubit quantum systems, we prove that our entanglement measure satisfies the relation of monogamy. Furthermore, we present a necessary condition for characterizing maximally entangled states using our entanglement measure.

Abstract:We investigate entanglement in two-qubit systems using a geometric representation based on the minimum of essential parameters. The states are X-shaped and host pairs of identical populations while reducing the number of coherences involved. A geometric L-measure of entanglement is introduced as the distance between the points that represent entangled states and the closest point that defines separable states. Our results give a geometric meaning to the Hill-Wootters concurrence C since L coincides with C. Furthermore, unlike C, the measure L distinguishes the rank of states with maximum entanglement. We construct a time-dependent two-qubit state, traced out over the complementary components of a pure tetra-partite system, and find that its one-qubit states share the same entropy. The entanglement measure results bounded from above by the envelope of the minima of such entropy.

Abstract:We provide methods for computing the geometric measure of entanglement for two families of pure states with both experimental and theoretical interests: symmetric multiqubit states with non-negative amplitudes in the Dicke basis and symmetric three-qubit states. In addition, we study the geometric measure of pure three-qubit states systematically in virtue of a canonical form of their two-qubit reduced states and derive analytical formulas for a three-parameter family of three-qubit states. Based on this result, we further show that the W state is the maximally entangled three-qubit state with respect to the geometric measure.

Abstract:We give an explicit expression for the geometric measure of entanglement for three qubit states that are linear combinations of four orthogonal product states. It turns out that the geometric measure for these states has three different expressions depending on the range of definition in parameter space. Each expression of the measure has its own geometrically meaningful interpretation. Such an interpretation allows oneself to take one step toward a complete understanding for the general properties of the entanglement measure. The states that lie on joint surfaces separating different ranges of definition, designated as shared states, seem to have particularly interesting features. The properties of the shared states are fully discussed.

Abstract:We consider the mixed three-qubit bound entangled state defined as the normalized projector on the subspace that is complementary to an unextendible product basis [C. H. Bennett et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 82, 5385 (1999)]. Using the fact that no product state lies in the support of that state, we compute its entanglement by providing a basis of its subspace formed by "minimally entangled" states. The approach is in principle applicable to any entanglement measure; here we provide explicit values for both the geometric measure of entanglement and a generalized concurrence.

Abstract:We study the entanglement feature of the ground state of a system composed of spin 1 and 1/2 parts. The concurrence vector is shown to be consistent with the measurement of von Neumann entropy for such system. In the light of the ground state degeneracy, we suggest a average concurrence to measure the entanglement of Hilbert subspace. The entanglement property of both a general superposition as well as the mixture of the degenerate ground states are discussed by means of average concurrence and the negativity respectively.

Abstract:We determine the degree of entanglement for two indistinguishable particles based on the two-qubit tensor product structure, which is a framework for emphasizing entanglement founded on observational quantities. Our theory connects canonical entanglement and entanglement based on occupation number for two fermions and for two bosons and shows that the degree of entanglement, based on linear entropy, is closely related to the correlation measure for both the bosonic and fermionic cases.

Abstract:Quantum entanglement is a unique correlation phenomenon in quantum mechanics, and the measurement of quantum entanglement plays an important role in quantum computing and quantum communication. Many mainstream entanglement criteria and measurement methods currently known have shortcomings in certain aspects, such as not being sufficient or necessary conditions for entanglement, or only being effective in simple cases such as 2-qubits or pure states. In this work, we will propose a scheme for measuring quantum entanglement, which starts with treating the set of quantum separable states as a convex hull of quantum separable pure states, and analyzes the properties of the convex hull to obtain a new form of entanglement measurement. Although a large amount of data is required in the measurement process, this method is not only applicable to 2-qubit quantum states, but also a entanglement measurement method that can be applied to any dimension and any fragment. We will provide several examples to compare their results with other entanglement metrics and entanglement determination methods to verify their feasibility.

Abstract:We introduce a purely geometric formulation for two different measures addressed to quantify the entanglement between different parts of a tripartite qubit system. Our approach considers the entanglement-polytope defined by the smallest eigenvalues of the reduced density matrices of the qubit-components. The measures identify global and genuine entanglement, and are respectively associated with the projection and rejection of a given point of the polytope on the corresponding biseparable segments. Solving the so called `inverse problem', we also discuss a way to force the system to behave in a particular form, which opens the possibility of controlling and manipulating entanglement for practical purposes.

Abstract:By introducing an arbitrary-dimensional multipartite entanglement measure, which is defined in terms of the reduced density matrices corresponding to all possible two partitions of the entire system, we prove that multipartite entanglement cannot be freely shared among the parties in both n-qubit systems and three-qutrit systems. Furthermore, our result implies that the satisfaction of the entanglement monogamy is related to the number of particles in the quantum system. As an application of three-qutrit monogamy inequality, we give a condition for the separability of a class of two-qutrit mixed states in a 3 ⊗ 3 system.

Abstract:We report on experimental studies on entanglement quantification and verification based on uncertainty relations for systems consisting of two qubits. The new proposed measure is shown to be invariant under local unitary transformations, by which entanglement quantification is implemented for two-qubit pure states. The nonlocal uncertainty relations for two-qubit pure states are also used for entanglement verification which serves as a basic proposition and promise to be a good choice for verification of multipartite entanglement. Quantifying Quantum Entanglement in Two-Qubit Mixed State from Connected Correlator

Abstract:Our study employs a connected correlation matrix to quantify Quantum Entanglement. The matrix encompasses all necessary measures for assessing the degree of entanglement between particles. We begin with a three-qubit state and involve obtaining a mixed state by performing partial tracing over one qubit. Our goal is to exclude the non-connected sector by focusing on the connected correlation. This suggests that the connected correlation is deemed crucial for capturing relevant entanglement degrees. The study classifies mixed states and observes that separable states exhibit the lowest correlation within each class. We demonstrate that the entanglement measure monotonically increases concerning the correlation measure. This implies that connected correlation serves as an effective measure of Quantum Entanglement. Finally, our proposal suggests that interpreting Quantum Entanglement from a local perspective is possible. The observable is described as a vector with locality but violates freedom of choice.

An Extention of Entanglement Measures for Pure States

Abstract:To quantify the entanglement is one of the most important topics in quantum entanglement theory. In [arXiv: <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2006.12408" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2006.12408">2006.12408</a>], the authors proposed a method to build a measure from the orginal domain to a larger one. Here we apply that method to build an entanglement measure from measures for pure states. First, we present conditions when the entanglement measure is an entanglement monotone and convex, we also present an interpretation of the smoothed one-shot entanglement cost under the method here. At last, we present a difference between the local operation and classical communication (LOCC) and the separability-preserving (SEPP) operations, then we present the entanglement measures built from the geometric entanglement measure for pure states by the convex roof extended method and the method here are equal, at last, we present the relationship between the concurrence and the entanglement measure built from concurrence for pure states by the method here on 2 \otimes 2 systems. We also present the measure is monogamous for 2\otimes 2 \otimes d system.

Abstract:Using the concept of non-degenerate Bell inequality, we show that quantum entanglement, the critical resource for various quantum information processing tasks, can be quantified for any unknown quantum state in a semi-device-independent manner, where the quantification is based on the experimentally obtained probability distributions and prior knowledge of the quantum dimension only. Specifically, as an application of our approach to multi-level systems, we experimentally quantify the entanglement of formation and the entanglement of distillation for qutrit-qutrit quantum systems. In addition, to demonstrate our approach for multi-partite systems, we further quantify the geometric measure of entanglement of three-qubit quantum systems. Our results supply a general way to reliably quantify entanglement in multi-level and multi-partite systems, thus paving the way to characterize many-body quantum systems by quantifying the involved entanglement.

Abstract:We propose two semi-device-independent approaches that are able to quantify unknown multipartite quantum entanglement experimentally, where the only information that has to be known beforehand is quantum dimension, and the concept that plays a key role is nondegenerate Bell inequalities. Specifically, using the nondegeneracy of multipartite Bell inequalities, we obtain useful information on the purity of target quantum state. Combined with an estimate of the maximal overlap between the target state and pure product states, and a continuous property of the geometric measure of entanglement, we shall prove the information on purity allows us to give a lower bound for this entanglement measure. In addition, we show that a different combination of the above results also converts to a lower bound for the relative entropy of entanglement. As a demonstration, we apply our approach on 5-partite qubit systems with the Mermin-Ardehali-Belinskii-Klyshko (MABK) inequality, and show that useful lower bounds for the geometric measure of entanglement can be obtained if the Bell expression value is larger than 3.60, and those for the relative entropy of entanglement can be given if the Bell expression value is larger than 3.80, where the Tsirelson bound is 4.

Abstract:Using measures of entanglement such as negativity and tangles we provide a detailed analysis of entanglement structures in pure states of non-interacting qubits. The motivation for this exercise primarily comes from holographic considerations, where entanglement is inextricably linked with the emergence of geometry. We use the qubit systems as toy models to probe the internal structure, and introduce some useful measures involving entanglement negativity to quantify general features of entanglement. In particular, our analysis focuses on various constraints on the pattern of entanglement which are known to be satisfied by holographic sates, such as the saturation of Araki-Lieb inequality (in certain circumstances), and the monogamy of mutual information. We argue that even systems as simple as few non-interacting qubits can be useful laboratories to explore how the emergence of the bulk geometry may be related to quantum information principles.

Abstract:We investigate the monogamy nature of entanglement in a three-qubit system. A monogamy inequality is presented to describe the exclusive relation between the A-B two-qubit concurrence CAB and the AB-C threequbit concurrence C AB C, which represents the entanglement between qubits A and B as a whole and the third qubit C. It is found that the entanglement between any two qubits in a three-qubit system is limited by the entanglement between these two qubits and another qubit. As a consequence, we present the upper bounds for the concurrence CAB, when the concurrence between qubits A and C CAC and the concurrence between qubits B and C CBC are both given or one of the two is provided.
