Abstract:We have surveyed known large-amplitude variables within 15' of the Galactic center in the SiO J=1-0 v=1 and 2 maser lines at 43 GHz, resulting in 79 detections and 58 non-detections. The detection rate of 58 percent is comparable to that obtained in Bulge IRAS source surveys. SiO lines were also detected from four other sources near the program objects. The SiO detection rate increases steeply with the period, particularly for stars with P>500 d, where it exceeds 80%. We found at a given period that the SiO detection rate is approximately double that for OH. These facts suggest that the large-amplitude variables in the Nuclear Disk region are AGB stars similar in their overall properties to the inner and outer bulge IRAS/SiO sources.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is to study the detection of SiO masers in Large - Amplitude Variables (LAVs) in the Galactic nuclear disk region. Specifically, the authors focus on the following aspects: 1. **Relationship between detection rate and period**: Study the SiO maser detection rates of these large - amplitude variables at different periods, and compare them with the OH maser detection rates to understand the correlations between them. 2. **Stellar properties and distribution**: By analyzing the SiO maser detection results, explore whether these variables belong to Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) stars, and study their distribution characteristics in the Galactic nuclear disk. 3. **Kinematic features**: By measuring the line - of - sight velocities of these variables, obtain accurate radial velocity data, and further study the dynamic characteristics of the Galactic nuclear disk. ### Main problems - **Trend of detection rate change**: As the period of the variable star increases, the detection rate of SiO masers significantly increases. Especially in variable stars with a period greater than 500 days, the detection rate exceeds 80%. This indicates that long - period variable stars are more likely to produce SiO masers. - **Comparison with OH masers**: At the same period, the detection rate of SiO masers is approximately twice that of OH masers, indicating that SiO masers can provide more radial velocity data. - **Dynamics of the Galactic nuclear disk**: Through the line - of - sight velocity analysis of the detected SiO maser sources, the rotation characteristics of the Galactic nuclear disk are revealed, and it is found that its rotation speed is faster than that of the inner Galactic nucleus. ### Conclusion This study shows that the large - amplitude variable stars in the Galactic nuclear disk are mainly mass - losing stars in the AGB stage, similar to the IRAS/SiO sources in the inner Galactic nucleus. Through the detection of SiO masers, the physical properties of these stars and their dynamic behaviors in the Galactic center region can be better understood. ### Formula representation The formulas involved in the paper include the linear fitting of the line - of - sight velocity: \[ V_{\text{lsr}} = - 19.2\pm7.9 + 0.085\pm0.020\left(\frac{\Delta l}{\text{arcsec}}\right)\,\text{km s}^{-1} \] where $\Delta l$ is the longitude offset relative to the Galactic dynamical center Sgr A*. In addition, the fitting formula after removing extreme values is also mentioned: \[ V_{\text{lsr}} = - 12.1\pm6.4 + 0.078\pm0.016\left(\frac{\Delta l}{\text{arcsec}}\right)\,\text{km s}^{-1} \] These formulas help researchers better understand the motion characteristics of the Galactic nuclear disk.
