Abstract:Investigations on ancient and famous trees were carried out by GPS in Wencheng, Zhejiang province. Analysis on their species, quantity, growth, distribution, age and protection resulted that there are 2665 ancient and famous trees in Wencheng, belonging to 54 species of 42 genera of 25 families, among which 122 are under protection of class one, 548 under class two, 1955 under class three. Proposals were offered for protection and management.
